It is hard to fathom how he could be shooting a worse overall FG% than his career 37.9% average, but here we are. |

I think it worked out just fine for us. |
I thought of that, but we'd certainly have been able to keep Ingram in this scenario, possibly even some draft picks. We could always move Ingram for a pick later on, had we received a commitment from Kawhi. |
Doubt it.
Pels would have had Luka AND BI. We would probably have kept 1 or 2 future 1sts instead.
So I think it worked out OK, b/c losing Luka would have been devastating for us. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I forgot about the #4 pick for a moment (which we probably wouldn't have), so you're probably right. But at least we could keep Hart and a pick, and don't have to defer another.
VLF may be right, if we had the #4 to trade. But in that case, Kuzma might have to be thrown in to keep the trade alive. |

I thought he has a new shooting form? Maybe he needs to bring back his ugly UCLA shooting form back.
Can't believe this was a dude included in an AD package. So unreal. |

There is no way I would trade Luka for AD. If that was a deal breaker, then no deal. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Considering that Luka is a generational talent and his ceiling is that he could become a legendary player, I wouldn't trade him for AD either. Then you have to factor in the age, one is 20 and the other is 26. |

In hindsight, for sure. But prior to this season, I can see people saying that they would for AD. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I still can't believe we got AD for Lonzo and Hart. That's ridiculous. The trade was pretty much Ingram for AD straight up and some picks. Zo and Hart are 1000% expendable. I don't see Lonzo being on the Pels for much longer, they're gonna cut bait with him real soon.
The Pelicans got fleeced. Thank you New Orleans |

Yep, and Lonzo is pretty much turning out to be a bust. I'm more interested in what they do with those picks. |

He doesn't care much for basketball and has too many weaknesses. His ceiling really is Ricky Rubio. |

Eh, Rubio is actually good, though. He’s capable of actually running and leading NBA offenses as the primary creator. He can come up big in huge moments. Check his World Cup MVP over the summer. Lonzo doesn’t get the same consistent penetration that Rubio does. |

I hate it when Cuban wins... Luka had sorta average numbers in Europe and then shows up in the NBA is is LeBron James-2, how did he know? _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Luka is not the next Lebron James, he's the next Magic Johnson. Dude is insanely talented and he's only 20.. Mavs could very well be the next super team in the coming years. Cuban would never trade him for any package.
Lonzo, like I predicted, turned out to be a bust. |

A lot of people knew. His play is no surprise to fans who have followed him. |

Another factor is the position he plays. A ball handling guard that can put up 30 point triple doubles with high effieincy? Fuhgetaboutit. I think the word untradeable is used too loosely often but he's it. _________________ KOBE |

Lebron is the hybrid Magic/MJ.
Playstyle wise, I'd say Luka is a hybrid Bird/Magic.
Damn Cuban got himself a good one. _________________ KOBE |

Bill Oram put Lonzo on his Lakers All Decade list. I thought that was an odd choice. |

After seeing this kid in his rookie year, I'm astonished anyone would trade him. If I'm a GM, and obtained him, as good as AD is, everyone but Doncic is going, in short, he's a no trade.
If anything, I'd seek to add talent to play with him. My goodness he's a keeper. |

I know this decade has been pretty dark but I don't get that. Unless he's just ranking him because of what a big story he (and mostly his loudmouth father) was. |
