Old Mailman had even less lift than current Bron. But damn, I wish Bron had Old Karl's midrange game and FT shooting. |
That turn around wrist flicker was money, he def delivered |

This is some new age basketball talk; though the game seems faster. |

they're both at the same point of decline and need of rest... Kawhi is just a more naturally special defender and scorer..
..Everybody was talking about Kawhi not looking good athletically last night.
We'll see who steps up most in the playoffs |

Lebron probably needs a game off, but with AD nursing a shoulder and rib complaint that rest period has to go to AD first.
Lebron will need to find a way to stay fresh out there |

If we can establish a good number of wins at the beginning of the year, we might be able to give AD and Lebron a week or so off to get fresh for the playoffs |

He should really take a game off.
And he should watch some Karl Malone tape. |

Lakers need to adopt the load management strategy. It's not fair to the paying fans but it is what it is. |

It's crazy that Kawhi, at age 28 (and with such little mileage (14,655 minutes)) has a less dependable body than LBJ at age 34 (46,588 minutes). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The Warriors should be an easy win (let’s hope). Load management for the Lakers could just be minimal minutes for both Lebron and AD.
That way fans are happy too and they aren’t pulling the nonsense that Leonard is pulling. |

AD being load managed tonight per Brad Turner. |

Yeah he said that really early on. The problem is he has no source for that it's just what he thinks, like how everybody noticed how Anthony was grimacing and thought "yeah, he'll be rested next game".
So take his thoughts with a grain of salt on this one
EDIT: Oh never mind, seems like he does have some (anonymous) sources on this one |

Not a Clipper fan at all but I am somewhat concerned for Kawhi. He seems to be breaking down rapidly and now has issues with both knees. Starting to think he might not make it through the season even with heavy load management. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

His issue with his other knee is only temporary. Last year in the finals he couldn't get any rest between games so he overcompensated on his good leg which led to tendonitis, but that's just a temporary thing.
Kawhi should be able to get through the regular season just fine. Paul George is coming back after all and that'll mean he can rest his leg even more. The question I have is Finals, or deep playoffs.
Say the first playoff series went to seven games, and the next playoff series goes to seven games. There's no chance for Kawhi to rest his leg, how's he faring? Last year not so well. |

What happened to him? Is he looking burnt out? Even with the games he's taken off already? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I’m glad he didn’t have to play longer and risk injury, but per Lebron, playing partial games is much like playing the whole game. He still goes through a rigorous warm up routine and. Best rest for Lebron is to not play at all. Unfortunately, he’s currently refusing. |

Rather than load manage and take full games off even somewhat regularly, I would love to see him playing 26mpg like tonight instead of 34. 8mins less per game make a huge difference down the stretch.
Occasionally I wouldn't mind him sitting if we're playing trash teams like GS, NY, etc but just cutting him back 8mpg saves about 650 mins over the course of the season which is about 20 games less of basketball by the end of the year. If he had started the season at 26mpg. |
