Is there anyway to make LAX better? Aside from blowing it up and restarting? Cuz man, you really see how (bleep) LAX when you travel. Shout out to Denver international, love the trains.
It's already under constant construction.
I guess I have been lucky. I've been going there enough that I've figured out a few work arounds. I've been doing a lot of weekend trips lately and I just drive and park in the short term lots. It costs a bit more than the ride share option. But it has been worth every penny given the piece of mind and time saving - both departing and arriving.
Avoiding that whole curbside BS is huge. You just use the cut throughs to the parking lots when parking for departures. And then on arrival, you just walk to your car. All the short term lots empty out in the center of the loop, so you don't get stuck in the terminal traffic.
When you are traveling with just a carry-on, you can be out of the airport while people are still trying to figure out when they will get home.
wait, does your trick gets around the century congestion?
I'm just wondering how they'd differentiate between someone pulling up to pick a relative/friend from the airport as opposed t a ride share service. _________________ KOBE

I don't use Century at all. I go up Sepulveda to Howard Hughes. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Someone at work was saying that Uber/Lyft drivers should just remove the stickers from their car and the get out and give their passengers a hug when they greet them. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

You can get into LAX off of Sepulveda. It's typically lest congested, particular from the North. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Either that or call cal1piggy to pick them up as apparently he still does that for his friends! Mine have accepted that I am the last guy you want picking you up in a traffic filled situation. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Traffic lanes on the lower level closest to the terminals are now used only by airport shuttles and "LAX-it" buses, meaning drivers must pick up passengers at the outer median.
I can see how that would help traffic flow and make all shuttles more efficient. It always seemed like a bad plan to have large groups of people concentrated in one spot waiting for shuttle on that narrow sidewalk.
But none of the changes seem to address the big issue of getting people in their rideshares in a timely fashion once at the lot. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Haven’t been to LAX, but I went to the Hollywood Bowl yesterday to see Sara Bareilles and they have this same system. It was awful. Complete chaos. Took me 45 minutes to get into a Lyft.
I never had too many problems at LAX with the old system. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Wouldn't be surprised if they decided to temporarily allow rideshare back in the horseshoe during the holidays. That photo was just from Sunday night, can't imagine the chaos during Thanksgiving.

Gotta use the shuttles for Hollywood Bowl. I use the one at the Federal Building and I'm usually home before people leave the parking lot.

So I used LAXit tonight.
Not horrible, but certainly less than ideal.
Exited the plane at 6:45. We didn't have any checked bags, so we went right to the shuttle. We were in an Uber and out of the airport 20 minutes later.
But that was in weirdly uncrowded circumstances given that this is the last weekend of the holiday travel season. SeaTac was the same way. There was literally no line at security. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

i grabbed the shuttle at the international terminal on xmas eve. not too bad. no different than a car rental shuttle. cost an extra 15 minutes or so once i figured out there was a shuttle and where to take it.
