How about we wait for LeBron to make the playoffs with the Lakers before we start making comments about him being better than Kobe? I heard Mark Jackson say LeBron and AD are a HoF duo like Shaq and Kobe last night. These types of statements just sound dumb when LeBron hasn't done (bleep) in P&G yet or with AD. With that said, the LeBron looked great last night with AD while dominating the Warriors. |

Could the drop have had anything to do with the Warriors announcing that Steph was not playing? _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Any sort of deep playoffs run will bring in far, FAR, FAAAAAAAAR more money than the $40 drop lost them. It's one of the reasons why the Warriors were so easily able to take that tax hit, the finals runs they went on just made them so much money.
And so with that in mind, that infographic means nothing. Keep our guys healthy, make the playoffs, and keep winning is the formula for financial success. |

Plus the Warriors were building their own arena, that practically gives them a license to print money. Just think, with the way our roster has been managed, there will be no possibility that the team will pay luxury tax in the near future. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

so... you guys are saying Lebron singlehandedly helped to lower ticket prices? Outstanding! So now people don't have to say, "should I buy a new refrigerator or take the kids to a single Laker game?" |

I don't have a horse in this tired, Kobe vs Lebron debate, but to argue that LeBron is better is centered around the historicity of his entire career, not simply his Laker tenure. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. He is still a load of a player even if he can’t jump the way he used to. He still has speed and at that mass, the momentum he generates is just hard to stop. |

Yea it is true.. He doesn't have as much lift. That is a fact. Was it also said that him being as intelligent as he is means he will be an above average player whether he's athletic or not?
Did he not look like the smartest player on the floor tonight?
Saying he doesn't have explosion isn't the same thing as saying he sucks. You dudes need to grow up. |
Calm yourself. He’s looking really good and he’s just warming up. You’ll be seeing those explosive dunks as the season rolls. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

Why would we see it this season? Did we see it last season?
I honestly don't care if we see it or not, he's skilled enough to still be effective without being godlike athletically. He's now a mortal in that regard. What that does mean is that he has to work harder to get his shot off, which wasn't always the case.
Maybe you should take a bit of your own advice bud lol.. I think you tried to extract more out of a post than what was communicated. |

my man, are you downplaying his greatness, or is it just me? haha
"he'll be above average" "effective". he avg 28 8 8, and if he averages anything close to that, and then turns up his effort 10% in the playoffs - he's going to be a top 2 player when it matters. |

I'm simply saying that he will always be an above average player because of his intelligence on the court. No matter how much he's diminished from an athletic standpoint. I've said on many occasions that the best players on the court are usually the smartest ones. And yes, he will also be effective when he's no longer able to score at will or have a physical advantage against his opponent. |

hey man, whatever you think is all good to me. it's just basketball. but I was thinking - if you were believing that Bron will only be above average this year, that's kinda wild to me. But I guess you're saying down the line. |

I guess I should clarify.. When I say he's going to be above average, I'm not saying he's just above average. He's clearly still in the upper tier of talent in this league.
He does have to work harder to get looks, where as before it seemed rather easy for him. Especially when it comes to finishing. With that being said, no matter how diminished he is physically he will remain above average because of the IQ disparity between him and the rest of the league. That gap will always be there. |
