Sources: Lakers planning individual workouts to evaluate centers Joakim Noah, Dwight Howard and Mo Speights this week in Los Angeles. Another consideration currently overseas: Marcin Gortat. Lakers want a window into physical condition and mindset of a potential addition. _________________ |

Richaun Holmes and his 6million dollar deal sure are looking very nice right now. The fact we’ve allowed it to get this far really honestly does suck. I’m not a Johnson fan either. |

Noah no doubt has the best mindset of the guys... the dude is relentlessly competitive and his provides the best all around game: IQ, passing, rebounding, etc. Dwight still like to camp down low and just wait to get fed easy baskets and Speights is a C who can shoot but not defend. |

Just like Rondo and Lance. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Don't love these options, but I love that they're working everyone out and making them earn it. |

Was just thinking the other day what if we just erased all the moves of the Magic/Pelinka era and kept the draft picks made prior to and during that era (hard to make these scenarios realistic, just thinking aloud). Would this team make the playoffs this year?
PG: Ball / Clarkson
SG: D'Angelo / LouWill / Hart (or would it be Kuzma?)
SF: Ingram / De'Andre Hunter (or Garland?)
PF: Randle / Nance / Deng
C: Zubac / Mozgov
Obviously, LouWill might have bolted and the Nance/Clarkson deal probably was a positive trade that should have been made regardless, but I didn't want to unfairly pick and choose. This team is seriously lacking in outside shooting and weak at C, but I think this team competes for a 7-8 seed in 2019-20. Would you take this team's 4-5 year future or our current squad (factoring in that AD is signed for only one year)? I guess I'd probably rather take the team that has a chance at the title now, but this team would be at least competitive now and, if any one of these guys takes a big leap, could be challenging for a title in 2-3 years. Interesting sliding doors thought. It really seems like if Ball or Ingram explode and become top-10 or even top-15 players, we might want the do-over. If Kuzma turns out to be the most valuable young asset, then our FO really knows what its doing. |

Gortat and Speights are washed, and a waste of time. A workout environment could favor Dwight over Noah since Noah can't jump over a phone book these days. |

That's why he's coming in for a physical workout AND to ask him questions (and I'm sure there are a LOT).
At least Noah signed with the Grizz in December 2018 and was healthy the rest of the season playing 16mpg and contributing very solidly. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We have way too many players that can play PG and PF. I honestly dont see the need for Kuzma on this team, we should have kept Ingram. Our 2 best players can also play his position. |

Noah has never won a NBA championship.
So he may be hungry to win one before he retires. |

The Lakers better not use the injured player exception on a center. Used the min and used the exception on Iggy when he’s brought out. _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

if what i read correctly from a while ago... it doesnt matter at all as the injury exception is actually less than the vet min. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Noah's advanced stats show that he is still a very productive player. His on/off Net rating is a +5.4. |

Noah has always been a winner unfortunately for him he didn’t get the chance to compete for a title because Derrick Rose got injured. |

The exception would be roughly 1.7m (less than vet's minimum). They don't get an extra roster spot in place of Boogie. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Will we get one? We only have 14 guys with guaranteed deals right now.
I don’t know how it works
Would we get an extra spot only AFTER we sign say Iggy? _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. YUMMY! So over the tounge and down the throat to party in our tummys.

True...but if you watch videos of Dwight working out, he looks good. Jumping, lean and muscular. I hope he kills it in the work outs. I don't mond Noah either. Just no Mo Speights...If they want more body fat then yes to Mo. |
