What's his defensive potential like? At first glance he looks to be in the mold of Iguodala on that side of the court. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
I think it’s interesting that Williams shared a pro day with Kostas and as soon as Kostas was released we hopped on him and have him a 2-way. I think most people were pleasantly surprised with Williams last season and maybe Kostas was the guy they really liked from that workout.
Maybe he was being developed by the mace differently than the way the lakers see him. I wonder if instead of trying to develop him like his bro giannis we develop him as a versatile defender. Maybe we have our wing defender afterall. _________________ “like I never left”

They better develop him differently from Giannis because, they're not the same dude. There's too big of a gap between IQ and instincts. Nevermind the skill set. _________________ Resident Car Nut.
Yep, about 5 points and 4 rebounds in the g-league.
Just have him watch tape and keep windmill dunking
Defensively Kostas can be as dynamic on the perimeter as Ingram was for us. His lateral movement is far from lumbering. He can handle
the rock well enough to initiate breaks off rebounds, and he has shown acumen with respect to shot blocking and taking charges. He can be a defensive anchor on a team that needs that Ibaka factor on it. _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL

Imo he moves laterally in accordance with his height, 6’11. very high hips long legs, his baby giraffe-ness shows most moving laterally. If he was a switchy and super high leaping kid, with ball handling skills - I don’t think the Mavs would have let him go after 1 year. His flaws are lateral movement , strength, shooting
Kostas Antetokounmpo has been cut from the Greek squad, tweets Marc Stein of The New York Times.
The move leaves the team with just two Antetokounmpo brothers, Giannis and Thanasis.
It has been an eventful summer for Kostas, who was waived by the Mavericks last month and claimed by the Lakers.
The Dallas Mavericks have claimed undrafted Mississippi State center Aric Holman off free agency waivers, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. The Lakers waived Holman to create roster space to sign Dwight Howard.
if he becomes a good player, it increases our chance at Giannis imo. If he's always a fringe rotation guy(at best), I don't think that's the optimal "play with my brother " situation.
There has been no reporting to suggest Antetokounmpo's injury is serious.
The Lakers are likely holding him out for precautionary reasons.
per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com
I'll reserve judgement until he has two years of G- League action under his belt... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
