Let’s see if he can actually coach. |
He's still got a squad. |
He does, but hate to say it, but they better ease up on Steph this year as he's a candidate for being overworked/injured if they are gunning for going deep in the playoffs. |
Steph got glass ankles. And DLO is gonna be moving off ball more than he has his whole entire career. It's gonna have to be a balancing act for Kerr. |
I think DLO should help sop up a lot of the minutes.
When Klay is back I think he will be their de facto "SF." That shooting and spacing with Steph/DLO/Klay will be insane (obviously not as insane as with KD). |
I have a tough time imagining DLO replicating Klay's off ball movement. I haven't seen that motor from DLO before. And if he's running that much and expected to play defense? Either he won't play D or he could get hurt.
When Klay comes back that should help their defense. But, if they make the playoffs, I still don't see GS as a whole being good on that side of the floor with Steph and DLO. Draymond and a returning from injury Klay can only do so much defensively. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

I just fear that until he does (which is likely post all star break), that Steph is going to be run ragged and gassed by the time the playoffs roll around.
Probably a primary reason why they got DLO to take that pressure off on offense. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

How did Kerr feel about CP3 trade to the Lakers being blocked? |

The whole key to the Lakers future is making AD happy after next season.
And keep Lebron healthy.
The Lakers gave up a whole team for him. A big gamble, so the Lakers might as well shell out some money big time coming seasons.
If they don't the next 10 years they will be declining. |

Warriors are going to be the team nobody wants to face in the playoffs. If Klay can be 90% of himself offensively by mid april... they're going to be that team. Steph and Klay can still get super hot and win 2-3 games in a series by themselves, against nearly any team. And Dlo can get hot too.
not a legit contender but they can make a run |

Hilarious that Pelicans bloggers are all agreeing with Kerr, but no one mentions when they traded Solomon Hill’s terrible contract. No one mentioned the Paul George trade request. (bleep) them. |

Saw some video of AD working on step back 3s. Imagine a 6’11” dude hitting step back 3s. Good luck defending that. |

Frank Vogel calls Anthony Davis a ‘focal point’ of everything the Lakers want to do, and ‘one of the best players in the league’
Quote: | Vogel: He’s a major focal point. He’s one of the best players in the league. He’ll be involved in every way that I can possibly use him. Offensively, he’s got the ability to play the four or the five, stretch the floor from the three-point line, post up, be a lob threat rolling through the basket. He literally does it all. He’ll be able to rebound and push on the break. |

If he's going to be the focal point on everything, then Vogel needs to be conservative with his minutes. |

I'm not worried about the roster imploding as much as the FO being a sideshow. If Jeannie and crew can stay out of the headlines then we'll be fine. |

As long as he lets us do a Sign and Trade cant be mad at him if the FO or the team implodes. But looks like we got rid of the Magic Virus so should be more stable environment |

Season has not even started and the Klutch/ Paul / James sideshow drama is already starting.
I thought Davis “wanted to be a Laker”. So act like it! |

smh. It's one thing to bite on click bait when we were chasing stars. Now we're biting on click-bait when we have them and the season hasn't even started. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

This is what you sign up for with Klutch, although it seems like most players and their reps are now following the Klutch/RP model of having total power/autonomy/leverage.
Irving, Kawhi...
Pressure is on the organizations. Celtics and Spurs have already gone through it with star players going into their contract year. No guarantees. |

Look at what Paul George just pulled the last couple years. He bailed on Indiana and demanded a trade to the Lakers. Got traded to OkC and spurned LA, preaching about his brotherhood with Westbrook. Then one phone call from Kawhi and he’s demanding a trade again with 2 years left on his brand new deal.
I don’t expect Davis to leave but nobody should be surprised if he does. It’s a new dawn for players. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I believe Davis will stay because a) Lebron and b) the Klutch/RP philosophy of having their top clients in the big markets.
I wouldn’t be surprised either way tbh, the Knicks and Bulls will eventually get someone just being in big markets.
I get why the Lakers pulled the trigger for AD, but man if he leaves and you gave up everything for one season of AD... |

The irony is the last player that wanted to play for New York was Carmelo Anthony. His marginal achievements in New York landed him on NBAtv’s All-Decade Team. That City can give some of these free agents that which they covet. Clout. |

We shall see. AD doesn't seem like the kinda guy who would demand to be traded to a specific team, gets his wish, then bails on that team after one year.
I mean some players have gotta think PG13 is a punk for his actions these last few years? |
