Bradley/Green will be one of the top defensive backcourts in the league, especially with AD and potentially McGee protecting inside. Our defense is going to be dependent on the version of LeBron we get.
Our starters will be a top defensive team so long as LeBron holds up his end of the bargain. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!

Save yourself the grief and don't expect to see much defense from Lebron. He stopped playing on that end years ago.
Iggy won't be waived. There are 5 teams looking for getting him in a trade and they have to send 12 mil and some picks for him.
Korver & Livingston were waived because their salaries were not guaranteed and otherwise will have to pay them. That's not Iggy case. Memphis has to pay the 17mil he is guaranteed for this year.

What kind of injuries is Bradley recovering from? Any chance he gets anywhere close to what he was during those All-Defensive years? _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Besides pressuring guys on D (which we really need from him), I'm looking forward to Bradley pushing the ball upcourt and creating his own shot at times.
That way he can take some of that load off Lebron. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

AD and DMC both can bring the ball up off rebounds as well.
Love Avery’s D, perfect replacement for Zo’s D but better offense.
He's much smaller than Zo, and isn't really a great off ball defender. One of the knocks against AB even when he was at his defensive best was that he tended to stick with his guy even at the expense of team defense. But he's potentially a better on ball guy than Zo against smaller guards.

Off-ball as in help defense off the ball? I'd agree 100%.
But when it comes to chasing people who are running around off-ball screens, I'll take AB & KCP over Zo and Danny Green.
If Avery stuck to his man at the expense of helping on defense, I'd wager that Stevens told AB to stick his man and avoid helping, because it could lead to IT getting cooked in a mismatch if the Celtics rotated on defense.

Groin/sports hernia which required surgery. He’s 28 so there’s no reason he can’t regain his form.

And with yet again only one other creator on offense (AD), Lebron will be burning just as much energy on that end as last year and rationalizing the lack of defense just as much.

I thought I heard on the Lakers network that Mike Bresnehan said Avery Bradley lost 40 pounds.
Did I hear that correctly? Did anyone else here that?

That's great news as a Lakers fan.. Him and Boogie both sound like they are going above and beyond to prove to the world they're both still all nba caliber and far from being washed.
I believed before I heard about this that he'd be the most surprising player on the roster next season and now that confidence just went higher.
Him and Green in the back court with AD and McGee covering for them is going to be fun to watch.
Was he out of shape or fat on the Clippers? 40 pounds is a lot of weight to lose.
I was thinking that too. He’s currently 182, so he was rolling at 222 and 6’2” while he was on the Clippers, no wonder his defense went down with them.
