Yes we overpaid.
But there are not many free agents left.
Now we go get Boogie. Its a risk, but we need to take that risk. He may have a great season.
Unbelievable that Kwak picks the lowly Clippers. PG13 is washed up. He is not a superstar |

I'd have rather given Boogie the 2/30. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

If Green still has 2 good years left in the tank then this is a great signing. We needed a legit 2-way player and we got him. We'll see if he he's actually worth $15 million a year. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

well hopefully its a front loaded salary because we have more space than available talent. He is a much needed addition as our primary wing defender. |

Considering the amount other people are getting paid this is a good/decent deal to get Green on. Getting back McGee was huge too.
Bradley
Green
LeBron
Kuzma
Davis
that's still the best starting 5 in the league hands down. |

He was one of the top Plan B/role player guys I wanted. For those saying overpay, blame the market for that. I’m sure Dallas offered him more total $$$ and years. It’s a two year deal which is perfect. I’m just glad that he was tied to Kawhi and was still available for us after that domino fell. _________________ |

The biggest issue with the Green signing is it hurts us this year stretching our cap-space as much as possible. We overpaid for Green, KCP and McGee each by a few millions which could be the difference between signing some good extra pieces - Morris, Cousins, Bradley.
Next year we won't have cap-space anyway, so it doesn't matter how much Green makes. |

Green is better than Beverly. He's a better defender and a more dynamic three point shooter. |

There were only 3 teams that could pay Green $15m dollars and Toronto wasn't going to do it. |

You’re being short sighted. It’s a 2 year deal. Usually you pay a few million more on two year deals. Also, those extra millions come in handy when trying to trade for stars or good role players to make salary work. Teams love expiring one year contracts. They can buy them out or keep them and free up cap space in the summer. Chess not checkers. |

And he would've just gone to the Mavs. One problem with comparing him to Beverly is that it's two years vs three years and then you have guys like 35 year old JJ Redick getting $13 million a year with the Pelicans being praised for that. Salaries for role players have simply gone up. |

45% from 3pts last season and a career 40% 3pt shooter. Great perimeter defender. Top DRPM among shooting guards last season.
Patrick Beverley got 13M/yr. Given that Danny is one of 2-3 good FA left, I'm not complaining about the slight overpay this late in free agency. 2 years is also the perfect length given his age. |

Get Avery Bradley, Boogie, Marcus Morris now |
BTW, notice how these 2 year deals lead to, I believe, the Summer of Giannis in 2021 |

Solid deal, will get good looks with LeBron. 2 years is the perfect length, 15mil a bit of an overpay but that’s the market _________________ #18 next... |

Defense and shooting is what Lakers need around Lebron, AD and they got both with Danny Green. |
