I'm sure the Lakers will waive Jones as his contract is non-guaranteed to make more cap space but hopefully he clears waivers and they resign him after and it's not another Nwaba situation. _________________ Coach MWP.

Different situation. They had to waive Nwaba because they needed the roster spot for KCP. Right now, Lakers don't even have enough players so his spot on the roster is cost the same against the salary cap if he was there or not. Think he will end up sticking around. Lakers need players like him...

If the Lakers keep Jemerrio next season, I hope he shoots at least 500 3s a day for the next 3 months.
If he becomes a good 3-point shooter, he could become a valuable role player for us with his grit and ability to rebound. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers
I thought I read that JJ has a contract with the Lakers. I liked how he played, but how the heck did he get a contract when I'm sure many people never heard of him and he didn't play for the big club until the last few games of the season?
While ACaruso has been shuffling back and forth to the G League with his two-way contract....
Love this kid's hustle and interviews. Hopefully the GM-less Wizards don't recognize his upside and release him so the Lakers can eventually pick him up again. _________________ Under New Management

Hope the Wizards quickly waive him and we can add him back. I like him the best of the 3 because he can carve out a role in this league as energy/hustle/ D/ rebounding. Bonga is a long shot and Wagner I just never saw it with him, he’ll likely be playing overseas very soon. _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. If you trade someone he can't come back to your team for a year _________________ Kobe
Shams Charania -at- ShamsCharaniaThe Los Angeles Lakers are signing forward Jemerrio Jones of G League Wisconsin on a 10-day hardship exemption, sources tell @TheAthletic@Stadium.
Jones played six games for the Lakers in 2018-19.
I don't know why the Lakers seem to retread players, rather than scouting outside the box, but we will see what he can do this time around. He is a good rebounder and a good passer.

maybe they are trading some of our guards.
THT, Reaves, Monk, Nunn all have value IMHO. even Nunn though he hasn't played. he's really good.

Should be looking at both. A retread shouldn't need as much time to learn the system in theory (important if they're only here for 10 days). But we should definitely be looking for a "find" if we can.

That would require scouting ability. It’s easier going the small circle strategy that Jeanie uses. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

It's strange because Jesse and the team draft really well. Find players in the draft, and one would think they would apply that to free agency, G league.
