Yes, but that is the most in-demand specialty in the league right now. Look at what J.J. Redick is making at age 34. I'm not saying that Seth Curry is going to make as much as Redick, but I would be surprised if he got only $5-6M. We shall see.

Seth showed in the playoffs.

If no max and no trade, I pick up Vuc and Brogdon on 3 year deals, and draft Hunter. We should be good for the duration of King’s Reign.

Hero is not saying he wants this, just what if we strike out with the max guys and big trades (which could certainly happen).

Here's mine:
Closely monitor the AD situation, because adding AD to our core as a FA next season would be best case scenario (without trading the core).
We have the communication with LBJ/RP, so I'd monitor that closely.
I mean if the Knicks get KD and Kyrie, and trade for AD, gotta feel there's a good chance he stays with them, but if it's somewhere else, that would affect my plans.

-Draft Garland at #4
-Buy a 2nd and get Porter Jr.
-Sign Collison 1 yr/12
-Sign Danny Green 1 yr/12
-Sign Dedmon 1 yr/9
-Sign Jav with the Room

PG- Lonzo/Collison/Garland
SG- Green/Ingram/Hart
SF- Ingram/LBJ/Vet min
PF- LBJ/Kuz/Mo
C- Jav/Dedmon/Porter

Play the year out and see what happens.
If AD is possible as a FA, we're in position (we'd either have to sign Ingram for less than his cap hold, or move he or Zo to make max space available for AD.
We'd have early Bird on Jav, still have the room (either Green or Collison), and perhaps have replacements for Collison /Green (Garland) and Dedmon (Porter)

PG- Zo/Garland
SG- Green/Garland/Hart
SF- Ingram/LBJ
PF- LBJ/Kuz/Mo
C- AD/Jav/Porter

thanks for understanding.

Still would rather build a team then get another MAX-star and scraps. Re-visiting my post of yesterday and some of my preferred salary range, but standing by the concept. Rather than blow our whole MAx slot on one guy, I'd rather do what we should've done last year and build a team with shooters and versatile guys that can play with LeBron and whatever of our core is left:

(1) Stretch Big
Brook Lopez: 3-year, $20-25M; $28M max (if MIL fights for him)
Plan B: Dewayne Dedmon: 3-year, $20-25M
Plan C: Bobby Portis, 4-year, $25-35M

(2) Point Guard Depth
Darren Collison: 3-year, $20-25M
Plan B: Seth Curry: 4-year, $24-30M

(3) Enforcer/ Small Ball Center
Julius Randle: 4-year, $50-60M (seriously)
Plan B: Al-Farouq Aminu: 4-year, $32-40M

(4) Shooter Depth
Reggie Bullock (re-sign): 4-year, $18-22M (either with cap space or Bird rights)

Should we miss out on Kawhi, KD, and Butler.. I like this..

Throw Kyrie and Klay in that mix.

And Kemba and Tobias Harris for slightly below the max.

Why that much for Seth Curry? He sucks. Redick is 35 in a few weeks. 18 Million is a little steep. He was the 5th best player on his team last year.

Redick is 40% 3pt shooter, almost 19 pts a game behind the big 4 of Philly.

Seth is 45% 3 point shooter. Almost 9 points a game.

18M is steep, placeholder contract for AD.

And Reddick wants to stay East to be near family. That is why he went to Philly in the first place.

I know that fact.

That's why I'm willing to pay him up to 20M/1yr.

Is that Jontay Porter?

Jr would be his son in the future.

Let's be real... would Brook Lopez and Randle want to come back? So many of you include them in your plans but I think they are both long shots. Though I give Brook the better odds as Julius wants a big pay day and between BK and Dallas, I think one of them gives it to him.

Dwayne Dedmon 1/$6m
Patrick Beverly- 2/$20m
Danny Green- 2/$26m
Trevor Ariza- Room Exception
Javale McGee- 1/$4m
Jeff Green- Minimum
Vince Carter- Minimum
Caruso- 2/$8m

Dedmon | McGee | Wagner
LeBron | Kuzma | Green
Ingram | Ariza | Carter
Green | Hart | #4
Lonzo | Beverly | Caruso

I also think Randle is gone.

Lopez really wanted to play here though.

So now you believe Windhorst?

Remember the Jimmy Butler to the Lakers rumors a few years ago that it was reported that he loves LA and wanted to signed with the Lakers when he was a free agent but couldn't since the Lakers didn't have enough money? With the success he has with the 76ers, do you guys think he still has interest in signing with the Lakers this summer?

No, he was restricted at the time. Bulls were going to match

I think he is still a lock as long as GSW offers the max. It is not their fault they cant pay him the SuperMax....but I am sure they were silently pumping their fists when the list was released.

I do think people are starting to really question if it makes sense to allow the media to determine if a team can pay a player a higher amount.

I think that he has interest in the max. If we offer, I doubt he says no.

Doesn't make any sense to have all the shooters on the 2nd unit and not playing with LeBron.

That's why it's simple .. choose between LeBron and the young guys.

You have some weird takes. You want Randle back, but he hasn't shown anything when it counts. The pelicans played better when it was AD and Mitoric as opposed to AD and Randle. Yes, Mitoric is good, and if the Lakers strike out, they should look to bring him in.

Bron
