Its the trade thread. This is where hypothetical trades are meant to go. Also, people may be thinking the Wiz wanna blow it up, tank and reset. |

Is there a fair way to get Beal?
Going to cost us as much salary as AD would, but Beal isn't worth as much as AD
If we want to keep ZO:BI, Kuz, 4th pick, Hart, Wagner, Bonga for Beal and future 1st(s)? Would Wiz even want to do that, risky type of trade for both sides
ZO
Beal
Kawhi
Lebron
Dedmon Hopefully with room
Don't see a realistic path for this |
Seriously? |
I don't think its worth it either, but only way for salary to work. Just throwing things out there, not saying it is worth doing |

Because the Wizards MIGHT blow it up (and they really should).
They're not winning (bleep) with this team and they have an injuried John Wall with one of the worst contracts in the league until 2023.
Beal is basically all they have that might turn into future picks and young players. |

I would rather keep the 4th or Kuz and not get the future picks. IDK if it works cap wise though |

we'd get #9 back, where we could still add a guy like little, clarke, hayes, hachimura. i'd try ingram/hart + #4 and see if they bite _________________ We only celebrate championships.

Not sure the same applies here. Griff most certainly only takes that job if he’s assured of 100% autonomy over the AD situation. No way someone of his caliber takes that job if ownership tells him “to the Lakers over our dead bodies.” He’ll take the best deal. |
I don’t see Loomis giving 100% autonomy to anybody, and I doubt Griff was highly regarded enough to get that from him. I’d see a Jerry West or something.... |
Even Doc Buss over ruled West |
Doc folded like an orchordian when West was going to resign if the worthy Tarpley trade went through |

The Wizards don't have a new GM yet, so we don't know what direction the team is going in.
They probably should blow it up, but I don't think they will. |

You can't blow it up with Wall on your roster.. There is no starting over with him on the books.
There is just an extraordinary amount of chatter about a trade for Beal on this site, when no interest has been expressed by Beal to be moved, and Washington hasn't expressed any desire to do so. |

Ok and AD wasn't on the market last year either?
Good players become available when teams struggle.
Makes sense for Wiz to start over and get assets. Beal makes them win too much in the east to get a very good pick. |

He is out next year though. No Wall or Beal and they will be able to tank with the best of em. |

4th and Ingram would be enough asset wise to get Beal. I'd try to do 4th+ Kuzma+ Hart for Bradley Beal package which would get it done if he was on the trade block IMO _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

does FA come before the draft ? i cant remember but im sure it does. So by the time the draft comes we will know if we got a Kyrie or Kwahi. really hard to say what we may go for because if we do get Kyrie Id say send Ball to CHicago for the 7th pick. send 4 and 7 to NO for Davis |

It's arguably the best time to do it because Wall won't be playing next season and when he does come back he's likely done, so there's no reason to put it off. |

Beal isn't getting traded. And AD isn't getting traded to us.. And we're just fine without them. I do believe some of the trade proposals mentioned here are pretty ridiculous. But what else is there to do lol? Have fun I guess.. |

This summer is going to be big. |
If we get a good max and start winning, might buy us time to next summer but is the $ math there to sign a UFA AD next summer? |
Just on rough top of my head calculations we might can squeeze AD in if we basically renounce our entire young core ( Ball, BI, Hart, Kuz) plus trade away our 2020 1st round pick |
Lebron will be making around $38 mil, a second max $33 mil and AD $35 mil. Can't happen. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

LBJ - $37,436,858
Kawhi - $32,700,00
AD - $27,093,019
You're overstating by about $9 million. If Kawhi is acquired via trade, as well (before he opts out), then you're over by about $20 million. Even with trade kickers, you'd be over by $15+ million. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |
