He looked mildly mortal last night, that’s for sure. |

if I was Kimbrel, I have waited this long, I would wait a little longer, or especially not jump in with the Brewers right now. They are currently 2nd in the their division, but are the only team in the division with a negative run differential. They could go either way over the next month. |

Imagine thinking that Kenley is the same.
Do the right thing, Dodgers. Spend the money. |

By the way we keep ignoring the fact that Kershaw has had two amazing outings. Take 2 homers away and he has been lights out. |

Despite his lack of speed he's been placing and mixing up his repertoire very nicely. |

Cubs put up 6 runs with 2 outs. What an absolute joke.
Damage yesterday was also done with 2 outs. F'ing pitchers need to finish the inning. |

Dodger bats to save the game...Verdugo with a 3 run HR to keep it within a run. |

When in the hell is Doc going to stop batting our best hitter 5/6th? |

It's a time-honored Dodger tradition. When Matt Kemp was first blowing up, Joe Torre kept hitting him 8th in the order for at least a few weeks, and didn't get up near the upper-third of the lineup until well into the second half of the season, if I recall correctly.
In short, yes, it's a joke that he's hitting anything lower than 4th right now, even against lefties. |

Once again Roberts starts a lineup that includes 3 sub 200 hitters and the pitcher. I know he wants to get these guys going (in this case it was Freese, Taylor and Barnes) I understand maybe Barnes and one other of the trio since he is the catcher. But for godsakes why go for the trifecta? Pederson and Verdugo are knocking the cover off the ball and Muncy has decent splits. It's like giving your opponent 4 free outs. Ugh |

Dodgers win 2-1. Almora took Jansen deep for a 2-out homer in the 9th to make things interesting. Does he have clean innings anymore? |

I'm beginning to wonder, but I've not given up on him. Looking at the pitch, a 90 mile per hour something (I'd call it a BP fastball) that was almost entirely in the center of the middle section of the nine sections of that little strike zone box, I'd say that he didn't miss by just a little. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Oh he's done. Too bad his contract isn't. He's still owed 40 million after this year unless he opts out. And I'm guessing that's not happening.
Edit: Who would have thought Pedro Baez is the better option at this point. |
