You do know that Lonzo shot the same from the outside as Ingram this year, right?

So?
Simmon's is a non shooter. The fact it's keeps getting exposed will be a problem, especially with lonzo in the lineup.
Can't dominate with a pair that can't shoot. You can point to the ball/ingram/bron lineup going 15-8, but that's too small a sample size.
Ball/Ingram/Kuz went 6-12. Ball/Simmons/Shooter won't fare much better with Ball/Simmon's shooting problems. |

People who want to pair Simmons and Ball have a screw loose. Those two have something in common - people keep telling them to rebuild their shot from the ground up.
If we want Simmons we let Ball go. |

Id still like to see LeBron + Kawhi
Also Ben is going to get paid in 2020.
I don't even think BI survives 2020 |

Yeah. I don't understand why people think Simmons/Lonzo are a good duo on offense.
76ers are affected by just Ben's inability to be a consistent shooter. Teams would have a field day defending us with two inconsistent (one a nonexistent) shooters. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Remember how embarrassing it was for the Warriors when the Lakers just guarded 3 of their players and let everyone else (HA! Draymond) take the shot? Yeah, every team in the NBA would be doing that to us.
And speaking of the Warriors, I hope the "let's get Demarcus to the Lakers" hype has finally died down. |

The positive of Lonzo + Ben is if they can run. That means they would have to play lock down defense to get fast break opportunities. But that's a hard way to win in the playoffs. Their other 3 players would have to be shooters.
At center a player like: KAT or MTurner
At power forward a player like: Siakam
At small forwards a player like: Paul George or Kawhi
Ben
Lonzo
Kawhi
Siakam
Turner
Something like that would be dreamy
So we can get Kawhi, can someone find a Turner-like and Siakam-like player for us? |

Teams won't go for the offensive rebound choosing instead to focus on getting back on defense. This will limit our fast breaks opportunities to "very few". They will then sag off Lonzo and Ben, clog the paint, and stick to the other three guys.
We get bounced out in the first round of the playoffs after losing 0-4 |

Please keep Lonzo and Ben Simmons out of the same sentence until Lonzo can stay healthy. Not a knock on Zo. We just need to see more. Over a longer period of time. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Part of me doesn't even want to respond to this idea of trading LeBron bc it aint going to happen but part of me is bored with no news so I'm willing to play along: NO: Simmons, PHI: LeBron, LA: AD. ... then we sign Kawhi.

Just like the Warriors with Curry, Thompson, and Durant, was beaten convincingly by a Lebron-less Lakers. Because it doesn't matter how good a player is when they can be consistently double-teamed and the open man contributes not much to the scoring. Draymond himself said he had to rediscover his shooting form, but in the end they fixed the issue by adding Demarcus.
Furthermore we'd have a bunch of G-leaguers on the bench. So not only would we have liabilities on the court, there would be no one on the bench to help out.
So yeah, that team is bounced round 1 |

Also you will have the same problem as you have now. Lonzo's a great passer, but you want the ball in Simmons hands and not Lonzo's. What else can Lonzo do? Stand in the corner?
If you trade Lebron for Simmons you'd have to throw Ball into the package. Having him would be pointless with Simmons on the team. |

So that fantasy lineup only gets a g league bench. And in this hypothetical, who would the Lakers be playing in round 1 to get swept? They sound like a very smart and disciplined team. 1) always get back on defense 2) rotates on defense and only leave ben and Zo open when they're on the perimeter I assume 3) double the other 3 when they get the ball and always get back if Zo/Ben drive/cut
This is fun. But it depends on who they play imo. |
