Injuries played a big part for sure but poor roster construction was the bigger issue. They couldn’t shoot even when healthy.

That 15-8 is also deceiving...soft part of the schedule and they had trouble with the likes of the Hawks at home and Cavs on the road...

I don’t think that 15-8 is all that deceiving. I don’t think they would keep that pace all year but I think it shows the teams ability fairly well. They were extremely reliant on a few players and couldn’t function while missing even just one of those key guys. Now that’s roster construction to not be able to pick up the slack but it also shows the potential if healthy.

True, that is why the season is 82 games, not 23. It allows for the ebb and flow of teams and why the schedule is balanced the way it is. It lets teams be who they really are. Many here didn’t agree with how the roster was constructed and once some of those additions were required to perform for us, they failed.

That 15-8 record they had with all four guys healthy may have been a little inflated, but it's indicative that they were a good team when healthy, as was their 20-14 record after beating GSW on Christmas.

Remember they beat not just GSW, but also Denver, Portland (twice), Houston, Boston and OKC (without Lebron).

Add an All Star, some shooters and we could be really good next year if we stay relatively healthy. As much as some of us dislike Lebron, he's still arguably the best in the game and he looked just as potent and explosive after the All Star break as he looked before his injury.
