This is a serious issue, bro.
The fact that you're discarding your question as something trite is uncalled for. |

If we want to punt and they are amenable to a 1 year max, fine. But I'm not a fan of allocating a full max slot to a center that isn't AD or Embiid. |
Boogie and Vucevic won’t be the only players on the C radar, Dan Woike reported that DJ is interested in returning to L.A. this summer and is eyeing the Clippers or Lakers, this is why we have a good chance to get DJ in a buy out and if he balls out and helps us make a deep playoff run we could have his bird rights if I’m not mistaken. |

The argument against signing a center to max money is a good one. It'd be pretty difficult, however, to pass on one of Cousins or Vucevic if Davis and the cast of free agents are off the table.
Do you sign Butler over Cousins/Vucevic? Tough question. If a max is too much for a center in "today's NBA", a strong argument can be made that JJ Reddick is worth more to this team than both Butler or Cousins or Vucevic.
If you're going to spend money to spend money, might as well shore up the team's biggest weakness. Right? _________________ A creative scorer, a wing defender, and a shooter. |

i hear you. But with Boogie/Vuc you create defensive weaknesses. Is it worth the tradeoff, particularly if they can't finish games due to small ball lineups? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Butler over Cousins/Vucevic is very much debatable. I won't argue either way, because I'm not sure.

Zach Randolph hasn’t played all season, I hope the FO knows that he’s been working out or else he might be over the hill, if he can bring the same effort he bought with the Kings in his 1st year he would be a great addition. |

Why is Butler over Cousins/Vuc debatable?
He can close games vs anyone, and gives us an elite defender.
Vuc and Boogie arent good defenders and may not close games out |

I was pretty anti-Jimmy, but assuming we get little to no interest from other FAs, he's probably the closest to a homerun at this point.
But maaaaan. That cap situation in a few years is gonna be brutal. By 2021, Butler and LeBron will be making 76 million between them and both will be extension eligible for deals starting at 45/41 mil respectively. They'll be 37 and 31 (34 I'm Thibs years?).
I hope we don't become the next Pierce/KG Nets. |

That Lebron contract isn’t something to look forward to

We will only become the Nets if we trade all of our draft picks. |
