21 years old.....mark my words, he will be an all star within 3 years. Stupid a$$ FO |
He's not going to be better than Rudy who didn't get in. Play at All-Star level? Sure, but the way the all-star roster works he's just not going to get in. |

If we had Zu, we would have won last night against ATL.
If we had Lopez, we would certainly have more wins.
If we kept Bryant, we would be grooming a legit stretch five w/ rim protection.
This move makes me fear we are rudderless. |
Lakers are rudderless...Look at the team the beginning of the season that Magic put together...said it was a defensive team....ummmm no!! What I saw was a team without shooters or a PLAN |

I believe Magic is simply looking for the biggest name possible, which is to be expected for a person in his position. It doesn't necessarily mean the better player. Every other team GM/president is operating the same way. It doesn't necessarily mean he is doing badly. |

Serious question: do you just passively watch the Lakers and not give any thought to if they are making sound decisions? Do you just accept what happens without entertaining other options? |

Yippee. Another piss and moan fest. We didn’t have enough of these in the lounge. Can someone make one for Svi, Travis Wear, and Ingram as well. |

The process by Hinkie collected young assets, not shed them. Now that they're in a position to win, they have these assets to play with as we've seen.
There is no process here, just a front office trying to jump the line. |

Zubac starting, backed up by Thomas Bryant.
Is a better center situation than we currently have. |
This is the NBA, No Boys Allowed Don't you know we're in position to win a chip this year? Vets and over the hill players are the way to go! Having young assets around means building a future, and we're not interested in that, we're going to sweep the Warriors this year.
What I just wrote is probably what Magic feels. |

Na I don't get mad or cry over stuff I can't control.
I watch it if I have time or post here when I am at work but that's about it.
Guess what, me crying on an internet board is not going to change a thing. That's a fact.
Doesn't matter if it's a good or bad decision |

Add DLO to the list. Most of you guys trashed the players when they were here. People said Thomas Bryant was too raw, yet he's balling for the Wizards right now. I'm glad Zu got out of here, he will get developed properly. Team is a joke, front office is a joke. _________________ The most important shot in basketball. |

The trade of Zubac is a real head scratcher. Only a couple of other players his age in NBA history have put up the combination of points per 36, rebounds per 36, and ts% that Zubac put up for the Lakers this year. And certainly none also hitting free throws at over 86%. He would have helped us this season, and there was a chance we might have kept him after the season. To throw a young talent like that away for Muscala? Crazy. |

Magic wanted tough guys over shooting because he wanted to bully GS and not get into a shooting match with them. Unfortunately that's really dumb and GS is least of our worries.
Magic's plan is get two free max agents no matter what it takes and hope the rest works out. |

If we had any of the three, we win this game. Such a self-inflicted wound!
And now Zu is actively working to ensure the Clippers make the playoffs so we can't.
I can't get over why we traded him! It was stunningly stupid both in the short-term and long-term. It's hard to do something that hurts you in both ways! Man, this one really hurt. |

Great thread. Zu was valuable now and potentially in the summer as a trade piece/cheap re-sign given the flexibility and team control of his contract. _________________ Under New Management |

Whether we would have kept Zu or not after the season, there was no reason to dump him during the season when he could be helping us win games. And there was no reason to forestall the small possibility that we could have kept him. |

DLo trade was great, going to have to strongly disagree in bunching that into the "bad trade" category. But yeah headass moves by the FO on the other three |
We traded what became a 22 year old all star PG for cap space to sign two superstars that were never coming. Great trade 👏👏 |
