Magic is smart for trying to get the most he can out of the "young core" that really amounts to a lottery team, and Demps is also smart for holding out to get more than a group of future role players.

Demps wins this poll hands-down... even if AD turns around and signs a supermax with the Pelicans. There's nothing they can do to become a team capable of winning the title with AD on it... just got offered more than anyone else will offer in the summer... even we won't go this high then... and he turned it down to prove a point on behalf of league owners vs players... and/or got played by Danny Ainge, lol.

Not sure how Demps is the dumb one here. He's gotten Magic to offer the biggest trade overpay we've ever seen and he has two days two more days to squeeze out more. He's completely owned Magic in these negotiations. Magic can say he's walked away, but the second Demps calls and says okay we'll take it, the deal is done.

if the deal is done it mean we win the trade since we got the best player in the trade , not sure how this is dumb. Demps is dumb not to accept our offer with so many assets to rebuild when your franchise player want to leave u. In the summer pelicans might not get a deal as good as our assets.
If the roles were reversed and we had Davis and the Pelicans offered the same package we are offering them would you want Magic to take it? _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
