Strength is a bigger issue for him than wingspan, imo, and he has the frame to add some good bulk. Of course, after four years at KU it looks like he never lifted a weight. | it does look like KU didnt have a weight room. lol. but yeah i agree, get him stronger and he will be ready to go. even JJ hit the weights hard once he got into the league.
personalli i like svi and i need him to get more time with starters and at least one other shooter on the court(KCP).i need to see what would happen if he had other guys taking away the defenders. so he can just catch and fire away. come off screens Splash... come off that same screen..up fake, take a step. splash. same thing again up fake go to the rack for the layup/dunk or the dump off to the big. It's much harder to do that when you're playing with the backups and no one else on the team at that moment can shoot. |

I actually would like to see less of Svi. Need players who have been there and done that...not guys learning on the fly. |

3 players out, this is actually the perfect time for rookies to get some playing time (along with the 2 ways) |

I'd like to see Svi get a good chunk of minutes in the regular rotation. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

I wish he got the bulk of the ball handling responsibilities last night in the fourth quarter after the game was clearly over. I have no idea why Lance was in. McGee I get, to try to get him over the slump he’s been in since the pneumonia and back to the hyper active state he was playing in before, but no reason for Lance then. Let the young guy flex a little. |

At least they gave the kids about 6 minutes... I honestly it was going to be less. Nothing more idiotic than having Lance and Beasley rotating possessions in garbage time. When we are in a close game fine... but it makes me really doubt Luke's intelligence when he's doing it in a blowout. |

I would like him start at the 2. To add a pure shooter, the young core line up who all like to slash. And with Lebron he would get more open looks. _________________ Started posting on Lakersground when it was lakers/rivals.com since Aug.2000. |

Svi hits back2back 3s then got benched the whole game after missing his 3rd shot.
I bet if Svi is handled by a decent coach, he can contribute consistently in any team. Luke doesn't know how to use him or at least draw some plays for him. He is the Lakers best shooter. |

Svi would have got more time if it were last years team.
But you could see in today's game, he wasn't making good reads.
He did hit 2-4 3s which was good. But being in a lineup that was a -9 in 7 minutes is pretty brutal. |

Luke is a garbage coach, pure and simple. Dude shows some signs of getting hot and he plays little in the 2nd half. |

I don't get it, guy hits 2 nice shots and misses the next one only to be pulled out.
Luke hasn't learned (bleep) coming from the Warriors playbook of creating opportunities for shooters. |

-9 was not just purely svi's faults though. |

Maybe he shouldn't be in a lineup where Lance is the ball handler |

I think this the crux of the problem right here with Magic's strategy. Signing 34 year-old LeBron and trying to keep the young guys that all need more time to develop and trading away DLo and Randle who were furthest along in their development. Svi would be a good fit piece on a more established team where he could get spot minutes or on a full rebuild team where everyone is trying to figure it out. |

Probably benched him when he passed out a wide open layup to Josh Hart for an open 3... lol |

I agree we already know what we have in Hart and KCP serious inconsistency, why not give Svi more minutes and see what he can do its not like were winning games what difference does it make. |

because it wasn't his playbook. He was only asked to not change it while more able people handled the distribution of it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I agree the team is poorly coached, as he does not prepare his team well for different situations and does not know how to deal with mismatches. Sometimes he waits too long for timeouts, and when the players come back they run a bonehead play. The Lakers make too many mental mistakes out there, this is all on coaching. When the team is running downhill the offense clicks but once it slows down to half court the team seems lost. This is poor preparation and poor coaching. |
