The Pacific is a pretty big drop off from Band of Brothers. Characters weren't close to as engaging. _________________ KOBE |

I enjoyed The Pacific - Seda's a quality actor. But yeah, the two aren't remotely on the same level of storytelling. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

So...I saw something about maisie williams accidentally spoiling something on one of the talk shows. I didn't look at it, and am trying to avoid all spoilers. Can someone confirm (without revealing what it actually is) if it was a joke/clickbait by the show, or a real spoiler? |

Listened to some of the playlist on my drive home. There are the obvious generic referencers like Queen, Let's have a War and Power etc. And some more specific references like Wolves of Winter, Dire Wolf . . . but some things stuck out for their specificity:
Dead Skin Mask - ties into the Many Faced God, a girl has no name etc.
Born for Greatness - seemingly generic - could mean anyone. Except then there's this lyric which ties into the above: "No we’re not nameless, we’re not faceless"
Girl from the North Country - another reference to Arya? . . . or Sansa
Burn the Fleet - At the end of last season, Dany is warned that she should return to her island to wait out the White Walker invasion . . .
Crown on the Ground - A king or queen is slain?
Listen to the Lion - Perhaps Jaime turns?
Sleep Now in the Fire - Dany dies? PLEASE tell me Dany dies . . .
Mama Kin - a meaningful reference to the incestuous Lanisters?
Wave of Mutilation - Could be a clue as to the fate of some the characters in battle or post battle revenge?
Anyway, I certainly can't gleem any greater meaning from it other than this leads me to believe that Arya is going to factor in significantly in how the series comes to it's end. But those things struck me as intriguing fuel for thought. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

The reunion episode.
So many great moments.

Disappointed that Theon saving Yara was not a bigger spectacle. Oh well, okay episode all around. Reunions all over, first time meetings here and there. Setting up the rest of the season. I'm guessing Ep 2 is more of the same with Jamie and the gang then the big Winterfell battle. I can't wait. |

Good episode - Last season, I prob expected too much for the first episode, but they obviously had to set things up.
On another note, millions of kids just watched full nudity lol. |

Predictions for this season after watching first episode:
Jamie Lannister will be held on trial at Winterfell and Bran will be the one to save him.
Jamie will perform some heroics against the White Walkers getting the admiration he always desired, but will be killed by Bronn. Because Bron will do anything for money.
Tyrion will kill Cersei, just like he did his own father. The death of Jamie will be the biggest motivating factor.
Daenerys will kill Jon after the wars are won against the white walkers and Cersei.
I'll post more if I think of any. Would love to read everyone else's predictions. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Quote: | The network has updated its TV schedule to reveal that the opening episode, which airs on April 14, will be 54 minutes long, while the second instalment, airing on April 21, will be 58 minutes long.
It's also confirmed that episode three is a whopping 82 minutes, contrary to previous information taken from its online schedule that had it down at a measly 60 minutes.
Episode four is 78 minutes, and the final two episodes are a hefty 80 minutes each. The Long Nights are definitely here... |

There was alot of misinformation spread prior to this season. Not just run time. But fake scenes were apparently filmed as well. The plot to this episode still got leaked though. Weeks in advance. Pretty standard setup episode, no strong opinions one way or another. I wonder if they're going to mention Rhaegar and Lyanna not having Jon in wedlock.
Also the final scene with the Umber kid was pretty good horror, well played. |

How so?
Starks normally die when they head down south (Ned and Robb). GOT is known for killing off stars.
Jon loves to sacrifice himself and put himself in danger..
And Jon may have foreshadowed his death when he asked the red priestess (who promised to come back to Westeros) to never revive him (again).
Also possible spoilers: GOT actors said it was a bitter sweet ending. Far from definitive, but still in the realm of possibility. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |
