I haven't forgotten my frustration with BI's iso's, especially late in games when he'd dribble us out of a lead and straight to an L. So I think his play lately has been much, much better. He's playing with patience and the ball isn't sticking. This is how he should play, and let the scoring come organically rather than trying to force a role as a scorer. I'm surprised he had 11 assists because he found a lot of open guys who missed shots. Just shows how well he was moving the ball. |

I don't care about his offense as long as he gives his 100% on defense and locking up the #1/2 option on other team

Quote: | Really should be emphasized: BI erasing PG in the 4Q probably won LA the game since the latter was absolutely unstoppable beforehand. And there's no other player on the team that could have done that. Hart/KCP are too small, Kuz/Beas aren't good enough there. Major props to BI. |

Kind of reinforces our desires to see BI not focus only on scoring. You could tell from day 1 that he had the possible tools to do a lot of things besides scoring, which is still a work in progress. |

Yeah, he was being told to use 1 tool when he has many more. Good to see him reaching into his toolbox. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

It is never easy to slow down Paul George for anyone in the NBA, not just guys like KCP/Hart... BI also did a good job on KD... guys who can guard top notch scorers is a rarity that’s why I don’t see Ingram going anywhere unless it’s a deal we can’t refuse. |

BI will have his work cut out for him, he definitely cannot guard Harden...Saturday is going to be an interesting game. |

In the 2 games against OKC, PG averaged only 19 possessions against BI. And only averaged 3.5 shot attempts for 28.6% fg%.
Against Hart: 22 possessions a game and 4.5 fga on 77.8% fg%
Against KCP: 23 possessions a game and 8.5 fga on 52.9% fg%
Heck, are we saving putting BI on PG for the playoffs? |

No one can guard someone that's entire game is based upon the refs bailing them out, and can run into/push/elbow people and get the foul called on the other person, while getting triple stepbacks and no traveling called.
You could make Harden shoot 5-50 and he'll still get 40 points cause he'll go 29-34 from the line. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

(bleep) knows. I remember half of LG being pissed at Luke during the last OKC game when Luke never put BI on PG and kept Hart/KCP on him and PG destroyed us in the 4th quarter and won OKC the game. |

Hmmm maybe. Not how I would coach but I’m sitting at a desk posting on a forum. I’m worried there is a different reason but I have no facts pointing either way. |

Not to be overly negative regarding BI, but is there a single thing he does well? Is it defending? Midrange shot creation? Finishing drives?
As a player who is not going to be the primary option on offense on a winning team I think it’s critical that we identify what advantage he offers and then try to adjust schemes to take advantage of it.
I struggle to identify what BI does well. |

On ball wing defense. He’s borderline elite in that specific category. Wish we utilized it more. |
