They'll be more games of LeBron checking out and that's understandable.
He's not a spring chicken, he's going to have to be selective of how works the engine.
Would prefer James "check out" by letting the offense flow. If he needs a night off... take it. If he needs a rest ...take it.
But him not having a good game but still insisting on being a ball stopper and fighting the system is counter productive IMO. Last night had no movement on offense as they all stood around to watch James force the drives.
Lakers best offense is movement and fast pace. Expecting James to iso all night and sluggishly get back on defense is a bad overall plan. As we saw against Washington. Prefer he just admit it is not his night and let the core play. Having multiple players out limited this strategy last night but for the season it might be better to let the young legs play it out, win or lose.
It is a long season and there will be nights Laker players are off or players like Wall will be unstoppable. It happens. You take the loss and move on to the next game.

Lot of star players take the 2nd of a back to back off (i.e. KL). But if we don't have LBJ, we're losing most games b/c we don't have BI and Rondo right now either. It happens. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

The core couldn't hit a bucket to save their life yesterday. The whole starter unit did sweet jack all. The only time we made inroads was when Moe and Svi were on the floor. It wasn't just Lebron, it was all 5 of the starters, including Chandler.
Anyway here's a nifty video from Silver Screen and Roll on possibly why Lebron misses free throws:
Yet some don’t understand the gravity these public comments have on our team. Why even comment if it’s not 100% guaranteed this deal gets approved? It’s OBVIOUS so why bother responding.
Exactly why some didn’t want Lebron and his force field. And I’m a LAKER fan through and through so don’t wanna hear how this is Bron hate....its facts.
I would keep Kuz if possible. I think he has the potential to be a #3 option on a contender. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Pels probably will ask for Kuz, just the fact they already have a PG. They will also prefer a wing like Hart.
For me personally, I would give up the farm for AD. But if we could still keep Ball it would be more than ideal. But wouldn't Magic push for it it full tilt, knowing these 4 or so years is it, Bron and AD now. Then when Bron hangs them up, bring in another top FA to join the now in the middle of his prime AD.
AD is a true superstar, such a special player I think you have to do it, and if you can still retain Ball, well that would be fantastic. But would the Pelicans do it? If push comes to shove I think they will, as long as they get a kings ransom, get all they can now for AD instead of watching him bolt for nothing?
The Pelicans will have all of our top picks if Ball/BI/Kuz head over there, they already have Randle....And probably give them a top pick too.
Wouldn't we have to send over KCP to make the deal work? So Ball/BI/Kuz/KCP and a top pick?
Anyways, I love AD, in my book, he along with Bron and the Greek freak and Kawhi are the 4 best players in the game today.
You can kind of just feel it, it feels for me like Bron "needs" to be in there for us to have any chance at all. If he plays those 8 minutes he sat we probably would have won this game. But even bron has some limits.
So I was watching the interview with Lebron today and he was constantly coughing and wiping his nose. He didn't look that great when he put his shirt on too. So anyway I dunno if he'll be at his best over the next week. I wonder how many people (if any) McGee's spread that flu to?

I don't even want to think about LeBron playing that many minutes. Not after '12-'13
