Hart has pretty bad perimeter defense.
Who was the other option though? |

Not a bad game by Hart. Got burned by the beard, he's definitely not the 1st or the last.
File it, dust yourself off and aim to do better next time. |

Hart is a poor perimeter defender. Our best chance is Ingram on the likes of DeRoz and Harden. That's why I don't get why people want to bench Ingram for Hart. Will work against teams with average SGs, but in playoffs Ingram's defense will be crucial. _________________ Showtime 2.0 |

It all leads back to personnel issue imo. Gotta pick your poison. Defense or spacing... I really dont like the thought of having a starting unit consisting of all mediocre shooters next to arguably the best defense collapser in the league
Lonzo Ball 30%
Brandon Ingram 32%
Kyle Kuzma 31%
Literally not one shooter in the lineup without Hart. |

3pt is not the single way to score. Make your free throws first. At least Brandon makes 2
Out of 3 and gets you 15 points every game with the defense included. |

We need better from Hart. Last couple of games haven’t been good, and today was downright terrible. Only defense for him is that he wasn’t the only terrible player out there for us today. |

Agreed. Bad shooting games happen though and he's still shooting at a good clip on the season.
What was sad was Wall looking for Hart on the switch on the PnR and then toasting him when he got it. |

That should have happened in the second half tonight.
Hart was awful tonight. |

Him ball watching and letting Bradley Beal get easy layups on cuts also hurt, especially on a night where Beal was having some trouble knocking down open jumpers. |

It's been a trend. I can't find the stats to quantify it, but his number of attacks to the hoop are way down, his ability to draw contact and get to the line is down, and he's forced to "settle" into those 3-point looks and not play as freely.
Basically, Kuz is more aggressive because he's filling in, attacking the paint where BI used to. Now Hart is filling in Kuz's slot, mostly spot ups.
But if it's spot ups, that's KCPs thing. It feels like it's been the past 4 games of this trend. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

I love him as a player and his future. I do not think he should be starting on this team however. Too many mental lapses. He's being exposed on defense with his over aggressiveness. He is a stud second unit guy right now.

hart is not a starter caliber player yet, specially when his shot is missing, like in the last couple of games. kcp is a better player than him and should start until bi comes back |

A large portion of this fan base SWORE up and down that he was a better fit in the lineup than Ingram. Hart's redeeming skill is being able to space the floor which is a great skill when he's actually making them and even so, when he does make 3s, he's giving those points back on the other end. |

It wouldn’t be a crime to have both on the second unit _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

He will be 24 this season and they (FO & Luke) might be looking to decide on a long term starting SG next summer. Hart's window of opportunity might not be open much longer. |

I think a playoff run coming off the bench could qualify him as a starter next season. It's exactly what he needs if you ask me. |

Hart last 4 games 8pts/2rebs/0.5ast on 37% fg, 29% 3fg, and 33% ft for a whopping 43% ts. He’s been atrocious these past couple of games in the starting lineup, he’s better off the bench. |

he has some value as a energy wing off the bench, those are never too much to have but his defense on the perimeter is really bad at times, wall was going at him all night. When kcp is hitting shots and active on defense he is a better player but unfortunately he has sucked ass this season. |
