Per Woj. This could be that shooter the Lakers are looking for. Perhaps a reunion is in order I imagine the price would be right. Adios Zu? Beasley? _________________ The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
With our rotations finally getting solidified perhaps it isn’t wise to throw a wrench into things. But shooting is shooting. And he’s roided up it seems... _________________ The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
I’m down, Meeks would be helpful for 15M per game especially if he can knock down 3’s.
Low risk, meh reward. But low risk. Has shown he can shoot 40% from 3. Active defensively (something the 2nd unit has lacked). Off ball player. Don’t see how this hurts the squad. _________________ The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

I can’t believe D’Antoni made this scrub look decent. D’Antoni should demand a cut of his salary. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
No thanks. Surprised he's still in the league. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

MDA gets knocked around by fans and the media, and I don't get it. He's made a lot of scrubs a lot of money through the years. Nobody expected the Rockets to be where they were last year, and I can't think of any other coach who could have done what he did with the Rockets. But instead of being celebrated for overachieving, he's always knocked for falling short. But the dude falls short with overachievers. He's never fallen short as the favorite.
He gets the most out of his teams because he doesn't buy into the cliche of "defense wins games." Yeah I said it, that's a cliche. Offense wins games, and even more offense if you're the Warriors. MDA doesn't get on the mic and preach defense just because he knows that's what you want to hear. Other coaches do that because they know what's exactly what you want to hear like Byron, Mike Brown and now Luke Walton. Has any of those 3 coaches deliver a great defensive team? MDA is just real, and I've never understood the hate. While the Pat Rileys and PJ's of the world who hoard hall of fame greats on their roster gets all the love.
MDA had Kendall Marshall 2nd in the NBA in APG. He knows what he's doing in terms of maximizing what we've got. If we'd kept D'Antoni, Marshall still would have been the ideal backup point guard for our team to get the bench going.
It's not wrong to wonder what D'Antoni would have done with a back court of Russell and Lonzo, and a front court of Ingram and Randle with McGee in the "Capela" role.
But then again considering D'Antoni's ability to maximize what you've got, I dunno if we'd have been 2nd worst to get Ingram the following year or Russell the year prior. That was thanks to the terrible coaching of Byron Scott. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

The dude was also responsible for Linsanity. LOL! What is Lin doing now? This man does not get enough credit.

or they could start Josh Hart at the 2 and move Kuzma to the bench.
Agree. I think the starting 5 looks a bit goofy with both BI and Kuz. The bench could use a little height. I don't understand why they're forcing the issue here with Bi and Kuz. But knowing Luke, because we're winning, he won't do anything.

The unfortunate thing is, the team we were building (if we didn't trade anybody) would have been perfect for MDA's offense.
Lonzo Ball
D'Angelo Russell
Brandon Ingram
Julius Randle
JaVale McGee
That's D'Antoni's wheelhouse in a nutshell. I also think that BI's development as a spot up shooter would have been accelerated under D'Antoni tbh and I can only imagine what D'Antoni would have done with Russell, and then got a point guard like Lonzo to pair with him. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
