Lol no he isn't. Brook protects the rim, is a good locker room guy, and we won't have to wait who knows how long before he's healthy. The Lakers will be contending next year. Brook is the kind of player and personality you want around, not Boogie. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Then have Cousins come over on a 1 year deal at $10M.
Cuz Cousins loves the Lakers and it's a prove it year for him.
He re-signs next year for his max.
Who's with me? |
At $10M, its’s worth the risk to go longer IMO. Not that i want him but you have a chance to lock him up on the cheap. |

We sign Cousins if we want to destroy the team chemistry completely. He's coming off a major injury and is basically Dwight 2.0 in terms of being a cancer in the locker room. Now, if LeBron AND PG don't sign here, welcome to LA, Demarcus! Otherwise, there's no need to bring him here. |

also would not be surprised if Lebron would have zero interest in playing with Cousins |

I will take you’re comment as fact, but we can’t do anything about it if Lopez bolts elsewhere so we might have no choice but to settle for Cousins |

Honestly... it's refreshing to hear players who don't (bleep) foot around and just say they want to be a Laker.... injured or not.
Definitely someone I wouldn't mind signing on a reasonable contract if the big agents screw us over. |

Why do people still live in 2013 when it comes to cousins
Sacramento was a mess. He's not not even a locker room headache, let alone cancer, in new orleans... _________________ Kobe |

not unless Lebron is in that locker room....simply cannot have Cousins as the alpha in the locker room with our young guys |
Yep, that's my assumption.
Lebron + PG + Cousins ($10M).
That's the only way I do it. |

The guy does not contribute to winning. The biggest empty stat guy in the game. He has never played in a playoff game. Sacramento was a dumpster fire with him as their franchise player (not placing all blame on him, though). They traded him for Buddy Hield because they didn't want to give him a long-term max deal (a rare smart move on the part of the Kings, despite getting an awful package). The Kings won 33 games with him in '15-16. They won 32 games last season without him.
Pelicans were 27-21 (.563) with him and 21-13 (.618) without him. Pelicans were better without him as well.
NEVER COUSINS. |

Whether he's an impactful player or not I don't know.
But locker room headache is just not / no longer true. _________________ Kobe |

Let's say Cousins is a great locker room presence now (doubtful, but let's assume that). Do you really want someone who is liable to get thrown out of any game at any time? Cousins leads the league in technicals (since his arrival), and it's not close |

I dont know if that's news.
Boogie has wanted to be on the Lakers for a while.
Klay's dad mentioned a few times on espn 710 that Boogie told him personally that he'd like to join the Lakers. The question is: Do the Lakers want Boogie?

Seems to be making progress. At least he's getting up 3 pointers. |

we do not really know this to be true or false.....things were quiet in New Orleans....but do we know for sure they did not just keep things in house better? The only Pelican I ever heard really say anything positive about Cousins was AD. |

Why do you think he helps a team win?
As a star, how many games did he win in 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017?
Why did NO have a better winning percentage after he got injured? |

Boogie 21.5 PPG 11 RPG 3 APG 1.4 STL 1.2 BLK
Kawhi 16.3 PPG 6 RPG 2 APG 1.8 STL 0.7 BLK
Both players injured for a year...
Boogie... 67 Games per season 4X All Star
Kawhi... 58 Games per season 2X All Star
Kawhi... trade half the core and draft picks... give him a max.
Boogie... don't sign him for free at a discount.
The double standard strikes again.
I get that Boogie's injury is probably more serious... I get that Kawhi is in better shape... but once again the difference in what people will give for two injured players... is astonishing to me.
Call Boogie a headache... but I don't remember him completely quitting on his team before... |

Like others have said it’s refreshing that players are trying to get on the Lakers train, There will be probably over 20 players showing interest in coming here especially if we land Bron. |

As I said in a post a few posts down from that one, I don't know whether he helps a team win. And that's exactly what we should be discussing. I'm just tired of the discussion about locker room issues which I believe no longer relevant.
My opinion on whether or not he helps teams win - I think he can help a team that is already good. But it's hard to predict with players that put up big stats without playoff games. _________________ Kobe |

Agree... Kawhi is better at everything except rebounding... scoring... playmaking and blocking shots... I will grant you that.

If we get both PG and Lebron then no, hell no. Cousins is a high risk play and there's no need to gamble when you already have 2 superstars. If we strike out on both PG and Lebron then maybe we can take him for a 1-year deal or a multi year deal if he agrees to 10M per year. |
