That's my question. At the end of the season when I want to resign players, it says that I can't do it because I gotta have enough money available for the 1st year of the contract. But I'm over the cap, so I can't do it. But as far as I know, you can resign a player even if you are over the cap. Please help me.

Thanks in advance!

Certain game programmers don't get it right when it comes to the cap.

You are right that you can resign players at the end of the season even though you are over the cap. However it depends on how much money you have available and how much that player wants. Go to General Manager then Team Budget. And look at how much "current cash" you have available. You make money by ticket sales and merchandise. Then the money you owe would be for players, staff and how much you went over the luxury tax. So yeah if you win games and have an all star player or 2 you might get a lot of money at the end of the season. So you will probably have to let go of those players you want to resign if you don't have money. Unless you manage to pull a trade off that would free up money immediately.
