I guess it's just not in the cards to make the playoffs... every time we get on a roll... someone gets hurt. Too bad as I think we deserve the eighth spot. |
I am keeping hope alive about Brandon for Saturday. But yes the injury thing is hellaciously frustrating. |
Yeah, me too... but it will be hard if he strained his groin. |

the Rockets have the worst annoucers in all of sports. |
No the clippers do |
i never heard the Clippers announcers. I was forced to listen to the Houston announcers because the game on NBATV so my Spectrum channel was blacked out.
I watched the game on mute because the Rockets announcers complain about any call against their team. |
You are so lucky |
No announcers are more homier then Austin Carr and Tom Heinsohn. Man I gotta see that again. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Frustrating...they look like they could rip off a nice 8 game winning streak or something but then a key player or two get hurt... |

It’ll only get tougher as we go. But hell, when you distribute this well, getting everyone involved... it’s a beautiful damn game. Built all on a defense first foundation... just amazed how fast they bought in and found their roles. |
I'm absolutely amazed, as short handed as we are, and as we discussed earlier. I was worried af about depth. You called it. |

F Wade, as soon as they trade for that ass, the Heat have lost several. Great win, time to pay IT now, ha ha ha _________________ "I got a hand that'll rock ya cradle, cream ya like cheese, spread ya on my bagel." - Shaq, 1992. |

Following this win
#11 Lakers, 27-34, .443 with 21 games remaining.
4 games behind #10 Utah @ 31-30 .508. 6 games behind #8 Denver @ 33-28.
IF the Lakers finish their last 21 games at the current .443 rate, that would be 9.3 more wins for an overall win record of 36.3 - round up or down as you wish.
WRT overall record/lottery balls: 9 teams still have worse records than LAL. However, Charlotte is at 28-34 (.452) while LAL is at 27-34
so, there's a reasonable chance we could catch/pass Charlotte _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

QFTOS -(Game Thread Edition) .... Seems like the Heat Fans saw this one coming
Quote: | These Lakers can ball, and now they have IT, who is known to be a Heat killer over the years. |
Quote: | I'm not sure the Heat have the fire power to score enough points to win this game.
Lakers had 9 players in double figures in their last game and their bench can light it up too. Lakers averaging 120 ppg in their last 3 outings. |
Quote: | Gotta abuse that IT mismatch |
Quote: | Not much to be positive about at the moment, Retro. |
Quote: | El nessessito um advil neste momento! |
Quote: | I had a bad feeling the Heat wouldn't have enough fire power to deal with this team right now. |
Quote: | you guys can stop watching the game.. James Worthy and Caron Butler already proclaimed a Lakers win in their half time talk. |
Quote: | feels like the home court belongs to the Lakers they have some loud fans out there. |
Quote: | someone tell Spo that small ball ain't trending anymore... LENGTH is the killer these days. |
Quote: | A "Lets go Lakers" chant going on in the AAA. Shameful. |
Quote: | Just checked into game. How are we loosing to Lakers at home ? |
Quote: | I think this is more about how good the Lakers are playing then it is about how bad our defense was.
Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap to the better team. |
Quote: | trade Whiteside for Deng. |
Quote: | Winslow put his afro back on and came to ball. I am impressed. |
Quote: | IT just didn't fit in Cleveland. We're not the only team that IT torches, he does that to almost everybody.
I am of the belief that we tried hard to play defense. But the Lakers are so well rounded offensively, their spacing and movement made it difficult for us to defend them. And they are lengthy. 6'7 Lonzo, 6,'9 Ingram, 6'9 Kuzma, 7' Lopez. Randle, only IT is undersized.
And each of them is a scoring threat, inside and outside. |

IT was hitting timely shots like a super star today. Those step on your neck and bury you shots that Kobe used to do. We had leads before, but nobody on the team capable of being vicious and knowing that moment to pile on, so then leads would get lost. IT looked like himself tonight. |

I'm still shaking my head in disbelief, pleasantly surprised we blew Miami out when our roster is so thin. We didn't just steal this win, we came in and pounded the crap out of Miami. And everyone stepped up.
27 wins and counting Lakers!!! How many games do we improve over last year? We're about to find out! |

Lakers are really coming together. Granted we beat a few tanking teams during this win streak but today's win was very impressive. If we win at Spurs on Saturday, then we deserve a playoff spot. |
