Not sure about this one @okc, but next Thursday the lakers need to beat them at Staples.
A blowout win would be nice. |

U think Laimbeer was that strong? He did the dirty work for sure but Adams moves people off the block legally. Rodman was def strong like an ox, few humans who can hold his ground against prime Shaq in the post |

Laimbeer was a beast in his era. Sorry I just don't see Adams in that same category. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

I hope he's soft and not fragile or we might be in trouble.
He can grow out of being soft |

We seemingly never play well on early games.
We need a step Blake effort from someone to pull this off. Remember a game when he went off against the then KD,Ibaka, Russ team? |

Other strong players. Wilt, Shaq, Barkley, Howard, Sabonis, Moses Malone. I can't go back to check who with they played with. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Yeah, I need to change that statement from ever to current. I just don’t mind if we get Adams-Randle pairing |

Yeah Moses Malone and Barkley (with Dr. J) must be one of the strongest front courts ever. |

Dr J wasn't really known for his strength. I would say more of a finesse type of player. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Us? |
Yeah, if OKC is hell bent on keeping PG13 with Melo opting in and PG13 wanting max, Adams $25mil need to go. Lopez+2020 1st rd pick |

Laimbeer was strong as an ox and one mean SOB. Rodman was a worm, not an ox. A extremely athletic worm.
Adams verus Laimbeer - that would be an interesting matchup. I think Laimbeer wins, because he was one very nasty, dirty ox.
Randle - MUCH stronger than Rodman. But Rodman was freakish athletic, a master at crawling in people's heads, and would out fox Julius badly. |

Pretty good list of legit all time strong players. Wilt and Shaq for certain. Moses Malone was up there too. Howard ain't close to that strong. Barkley strong for his size but not as strong as those three.
I'd add Darryl Dawkins. There was one strong freak. |

A real good way to be over the DLO trade is to not bring him up in a game thread. |

Laimbeer was a (bleep) dirty piece of (bleep).
The Beastie Boys (all New York Knicks fans) did a little "tribute" song to him called Tough Guy:
Butcher me on the court
Too many elbows to report
Now you're poking me in the eye
Bill Laimbeer (bleep), it's time for you to die
Tough guy, it's time to check yourself
Dribbling the ball like the Biz can be bad for your health
Tough guy, what you gotta prove?
Moving like an elephant, that's your favorite move
Tough guy, your (bleep) is going out
Box me out with your fat ass
Throw me around like a bounce pass
You've got a tombstone hanging over your dick
You cause a minor earthquake when you throw a moving pick
Tough guy, you think you're like the Shaq
Keep running around, you'll catch a heart attack
Tough guy, what are you giving me?
The way you're playing ball, well, you'll stop me from living B
Tough guy, Tough guy
Tough guy, you're (bleep) is weak
Tough guy, you (bleep) freak
Tough guy, I'll stick your (bleep)
Tough guy |

He can grow out of being soft |
So play him while his MCL is healing to prove he's tough? That would be smart. He doesn't have a significant injury history. However, he racked up a ton of minutes on a 19/20 year old kid body.
I have a hard time with the 'soft' label on a 20 y.o. point guard who bangs with the bigs and collects 7 rebounds per game. One injury came from an arm hook from Jokic. Pulled his shoulder bad, team wanted to play it safe and kept him out. He had a sprained ankle earlier this season, and he came back reasonably quickly. Now he's come down with the first injury that could cause any real concern, a minor knee sprain. It's been 3 weeks, but we're on a road trip and Luke insists on a full practice evaluation before playing him. There are no full days for practice until this road trip is over. Smart stance Luke is taking.
So I guess the only way for Lonzo to not be 'soft' is to either fake like he had no knee injury and play injured, or yell at Luke and the FO to force them to play him? Or should he stop fighting for rebounds? |
