Time will tell if it's good for us but to pretend like DLO was moving the needle for us the past two seasons is revisionist history. We were getting led by Lou Williams and Nick Young, not the young core. |

Nah, if you've watched any nets preseason games...DLO isn't very good, like at all. DLO wasn't traded because of his BB skills, he was traded away because of his lack of dedication to his craft and locker room issues. BI sucks right now too, but at least he's working on it... |

And even so he was usually our best player. Probably could have addressed the "trotting" without sending him to the recycling bin, but guess we'll never know. |
When was he our best player?
When did he win us games?
It's not shocking that we started hot because of Lou Williams and Nick Young shooting crazy and when Nick got hurt, it was over. DLo barely tried. Despite that, I do feel he was treated pretty bad by Luke and that led to his demeanor. I like the kid a lot but what impact did he have for us? |

I miss DLO too, but there's nothing we can do about it.
Brandon Ingram was actually having a GOOD GAME until the final stretch.
That drive trying to overpower Rudy Gobert? The same Rudy Gobert that was using Randle for toilet paper as they closed in on us?
What this team needed was much more of a 2 man game or organized offense at the end. Not Brandon Ingram ISO time against a huge opponent.
Get Kuzma open within the offense, or a cutting Clarkson if he's got a back door. ANYTHING but the play that unfolded.
Luke's lineup decisions are what cost us the game. Utah clawed back by taking advantage of a major size mismatch and Luke did not respond. As if small ball is the universal answer in all situations.
Then again, maybe player evaluation took a front seat over final outcome. The Lakers will still start the season 0-0. |

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying it's revisionist history to pretend like DLO was helping us win games. 1) We were absolutely pathetic the past 2 seasons and 2) Our hot start last year was led by Lou Will and Nick's hot start. |

The Pistons and Hornets are much better then Brooklyn, and they are likely to compete for the 7th and 8th spot over the Nets. |

DLO was a major part of our success limited that it was. Our hot start was stopped by injuries but the team fell apart when DLO got hurt. At the very least, he was the best at running our offense. Also Nick's hot start was due to shots that DLO created for him either directly or indirectly.
If you expected us to make the playoffs, thats your own expectations _________________ Llluuukkkeee |

No you didn't. Don Draper said he was playing at a "Near All Star Level" and Worthy42 said he was "smoking ppl". 42/30 isn't very good. I do think defensively he looks like he's putting a lot more effort in, but my opinion..he's not good. So no, you aren't pushing the narrative that he is amazing and we screwed up...but I am pushing the one that I don't think we lost out on much . |
