so if Boston gets the third pick and we get the 4th (goes to philly)
then you'll be happy?
some people are so short sighted makes no sense |
Do you honestly think this game is the difference between 3rd and 4th pick? Some don't understand lotteries and luck. |
Yes?
This pick ties our record with the Suns which means we split lottery balls. Don't tell me what I don't understand if you're not even going to check the records. We're one game ahead, one game matters. |
And it is all luck. Cleveland was 10th in the lottery standings and got #1. We will be lucky or not. |
Was this the kyrie year? If by luck, you mean the consolation prize by the league to the cavs for Lebron dumping them
If the league wants the lakers to get the #1 pick, they will get it. We will find out soon enough. |

doesnt matter....PHX will not win again.....we just gave sole possession of 2nd at best......dumb dumb dumb |
When DB got 70 and the Suns still lost, it was clear Lakers were never going to out "tank" them. Tank-y folks have just not wanted to accept that reality IMO _________________ #IStillBelieveTaurean |

I don't know what they do with the .5 BTW |
PHX ain't winning another game. They're a lock for 2nd worst now, we're going to be 3rd when we win one more game... |

no it's math.

Cleveland was very good with the math then that year. |
lmao it's literally math, not rocket science (although it might be rocket science for you).
but you coach a little league football team so you know what you're talking about. I'll see myself out |

I just googled it..
they do a coin flip for the last ball
whoever wins the coin flip gets 178 balls, the loser gets 177 |
its not balls, its combinations...there are only like 20 balls total....and they flip a coin for the additional combination |

No the year they drafted Wiggins. People here were complaining about some late season wins when we should have won more |

yeah, I know...
most people here talk about "getting more ping pong balls" - so I worded it the way they apparently think about it
for all practical purposes, it's the same thing
you'd just need a really big bingo drum for 2000+ some odd ping pong balls - LOL _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Russell outplayed Conley
Randle had a bounceback game
Larry played great at the 5 with a 12/14 game
Ennis continued his solid play
Thomas Robinson had a great game at backup 5 with 12/10 off the bench
Yet all some of ya'll seem concerned with is the pick and don't even enjoy when the team plays well.
That must be pretty miserable way of being a fan. You hate watching this team when we're getting blown out or blow games or lose them, yet you panic about the pick whenever our guys play well, make progress and win games because of it. Got to be a miserable way of going about being a team's fan.
The solution is to stop being [expletive] scared of winning. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yeah, I was worried for BI since he was supposed to play more minutes today. Just Luke doing Luke. |

They had no business to win this or any games left in this season. Folks who are against tanking how would you expect the Lakers to get better? No FA is willing to join us, we got not enough trade assets, to me a top 3 pick out of this drafted is much needed than ever before |

It's not the Lakers winning or losing that dampens my enthusiasm to post in game threads, it's the posters who whine and cry if the Lakers win a game.
I'd take a 100% chance of DeAngelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, Ivica Zubac, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance and Tarik Black learning how to win tough games over a 10% increase in the odds, from 45% to 55%, that we keep a draft pick this year, and the lesser corresponding odds that either Fultz or Ball end up being Lakers.
This idea that we absolutely have to lose every game, at all costs, is the truly short-sighted, narrow minded viewpoint, not the guy who says 'it's all luck anyhow.' Yes - we ALL understand the math. Way too many posters don't understand that the players we have need to figure out how to win games, and that this is more important than draft odds.
Yes - Fultz or Ball would be nice. Russell, Ingram, and Randle turning into the upside players we thought they could be instead of wallowing in mediocrity would be even nicer. Gotta start winning games sometime for that to happen. Best test is when a coach hangs all these rooks out to dry with no vets to back them up. Excellent news that these guys didn't quit. That they're still trying to win. And tonight they succeeded. Sorry if that's not on your preferred time table. |
