Btw, off the new MCR album...

My favorites so far have to be "Cancer," "Dead!," and "Famous Last Words." Oh, and of course, "Welcome to the Black Parade."

cancer is so ....saw em perform it on SNL...beautiful song though....

Word, Pwiddy. Very, very beautiful indeed.

I've been pumping My Chemical Romance for a while now, and was highly anticipating their new album. While I am not a fan of their new image, I LOVE The Black Parade. It's insane, twisted, dark, and beautiful.

But I couldn't pick a favorite MCR album, and I recommend everyone check them all out. They've gotten a bad rap because of the countries obsession with the word "emo" (don't get me started on how vague and idiotic this word is).

Their first CD "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" is by far their rawest, but it has a very authentic and genuine feel. "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" is a little more "pop" (again, stupid word), but they are faster and more action packed than anything else they have ever done. Listening to the album all the way through is exhausting, in a good way. But "The Black Parade" is something completely new, and could be the best mainstream rock album of the year.

Anyway, sorry to go off on a tangent.

Current Music I'm bumping yo:

The Decemberist - The Crane Wife (One of my favorite albums of the year, saw them live, amazing)
Two Gallants (Just got into them, and I'm obsessed)
Sunset Rubdown (Almost Bowie-like)
The Blood Brothers - Crimes (Hated their last CD, love this one)
Cunninlynguists
Brother Ali
As Tall As Lions
Godspeed You Black Emperor!

Gatsby's American Dream
Sky Eats Airplane
Zion I
Reef The Lost Cauze
Ghostface Killah

He Is Legend
Matt Costa (Amazing)
Jens Lenkman
P.O.S.
King Crimson (Going back a bit)
Panic! At The Disco (Shut up... there actually good)
Portugal. The Man
Islands

Okkervil River
Talib Kweli
Cursive

And of course, my all-time favorites:

Aesop Rock
Atmosphere
Sufjan Stevens
The Mars Volta
Iron & Wine
Bright Eyes
Circa Survive
Pink Floyd
Elliot Smith
Radiohead
The Sound of Animals Fighting
My Chemical Romance
Kanye West
Mos Def
The Fall Of Troy
NaS
Immortal Technique
The Cure
Muse
Queen
Sage Francis
The Roots
Death Cab For Cutie
DangerDoom
At the Drive In
Rise Against
Bob Dylan
Simon & Garfunkel
Jimi Hendrix
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Wu-Tang

Both A Piece Of Strange and Southernunderground have been in heavy rotation. Your right though, APOS is great CD and tied for my current favorite rap cd (along with Audition and Ipecac Neat by P.O.S.)

I am an absolute music junkie that appreciates almost all genres. What are your favorite albums?

favorite albums would have to include ATLiens from outkast, it was written by nas, all eyez on me by pac, and wu-tang forever....

I am a huge john legend fan, james morrison is good...it is so hard to pick favorite nonrap albums for me....

I am also the same in that I love all different types of music...on any given day ill skip between something as soft as david gray/ben harper to something as hard as some old wutang or snoop dogg. I think that way helps to balance out my mental state a little.
