Heroes is a great show on NBC. Im definitely loving that. Nine right after lost I have grown fond of. Studio 60 is pretty good.
--------------
New shows that I didnt like. The class on cbs was pretty bad. I guess I didnt really give it much of a chance but I watched the first 10 minutes of 30 rock premier and I changed the channel hopefully it got better after those 10 minutes |

Heroes and Studio 60.
Jericho is a very interesting premise, but they ham it up too much and the music is very cheesy and over the top. Worth watching to see where they take the plot though... |

figures. make a show that's not accessible to the lowest common denominator and it fails.

Ratings are apparently really bad - losing a large chunk of the Heroes lead-in. I think it's a great show, but yeah, I just don't see it pulling in the audience it needs to against the "lowest common denominator" shows like CSI Miami.
The good news is Studio 60 attracts a much more affluent demographic - the kind that advertisers want. Also, cancellation would mean paying some sort of huge penalty fee to Warners (who produces the show). Anyway, hope the ratings pick up so this can remain on... |

Looks like Studio 60 might stick around atleast for now.

The reports of Studio 60's demise have been greatly exaggerated.
Studio 60 lives.
Studio 60 lives.
Yesterday, rumors swirled that NBC's expensive drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was headed for the scrap heap. Despite the fact that NBC had ordered three more episodes of the show, cast members were reportedly telling friends the show was near its end.
Now, NBC has refuted that story, saying the show is still profitable and that the network will give it at least a little while longer. Media Daily News says NBC is frustrated by the decline of Studio 60's ratings, but that the show brings in affluent viewers that advertisers care about. Therefore, the 7.7 million viewers the show earned last week is OK--for now. |
