I think JC is going to be a good NBA point guard but, the way our team is currently constructed, I think we are good at PG with Russell/Huertas, not to mention Randle likes handling the ball. We are lacking in consistent perimeter shooting and perimeter defense. I think Covington would be an upgrade over JC at the starting SG position because he is a better PERIMETER shooter (only 40% fg last season but, 37% threes on 2.6 made 3's per game) compared to Clarkson (45%fg, 31% threes on only 0.6 made 3's per game). In addition, Covington has great measurable, being 6-9, 215 with a 7-2 wing span and a 38 inch vert is pretty solid. I admit I haven't seen much of him at all, I didn't even bother going on youtube, just basing this on stats. I know he played on an awful team, but so did JC . I think Covington would be a much better fit, since he is a high volume three point shooter and his % might even go up with PG like Russell and Huertas to get him the ball and he should get his share of open shots with Kobe and Randle drawing attention inside. What do you all think? |

Give them Sacre instead. We all know how much Philly loves centers. |

Covington's ceiling is likely lower than JC's floor. |

well played scoobs | As of March 2015, they voted 15-0 in favor of not trading Clarkson for Covington. I wonder what the vote would be today? What the heck is up with these people? How could I of been the only person in favor of such a trade? LOL. Covington was clearly the better player from day 1. |
