Forgot sgt Landsman. Just watched the episode with him and Bubbles. The simple humanity he extends to bubbles is some great great acting and writing. _________________ “We must always take sides. I don't think so. I think the reason they didn't show any video in the teaser was because the trailer was supposed to be like we were hearing it through....puts on sunglasses....the wire.
I'm halfway through season 1. I guess I'll wait eh? It's all being televised in a marathon so I don't have to wait....? (aka, should appear on the bay to d/l soon?).

And it has just a few of the many, many, many, many great lines uttered during the show punctuated with Omar "It's all in the game Yo!, Ha, ha!"
Just goosebumps at the greatness of that show. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Right?! I wanna re-watch it now but I wanna wait until the 26th so I REALLY enjoy the remastered version.
Just watched season 1 again. Man, I forgot how great that season was. Simply amazing. And that's at best the third best season of the series for me. Wow. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Funny this thread is up on page 1 . Just started watching this a few weeks back. I'm on about episode 7 of season 1. REALLY good show. Level of detail given to the characters is amazing. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same."
Yeah it does. Los Angeles Time Warner here. Only a few movie channels are in HD. Usually just the main channel for each network's east and west feed, but The Wire is on HBO Signature.

What?!?! If true, that (bleep) sucks.

What package do you have? because I get a bunch of HD movie channels - but I have the top tier.
Anyway, if you are a TWC subscriber and you for some reason aren't getting The Wire in HD off of your box, just sign up for HBO GO. The Wire is on there in HD.

Do you have HBO Signature in HD?
Starter TV
Standard TV
Variety Pass
HD Pass
TWC Movie Pass
TWC Sports Pass
Variety Pass Plus
HBO
Cinemax
Showtime & TMC
STARZ
Everything but EPIX pretty much. They just don't offer HBO Signature in HD in my area. Only HBO east, west and Latino are in HD here. Thanks though, I will try HBO GO, but probably just going to watch it in the shrunken HD.

Yep. Season 4 is the greatest season of TV I have ever seen. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Forgot about this and picked it up around ep. 5 yesterday. I meant to only watch a few episodes but got caught up and spent the entire day watching the rest of season 1. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Amazing how the tension just builds and builds and how (bleep) just goes down and resolves. Love everything about it, Omar ending it with his jack move and signature line was genius. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Just didn't like how Omar went down. Baddest dude on the block gets taken out by a ten year old? He and Marlo needed to hook up.
