Like Bill Simmons. That guys needs to get hit by a bus. Metaphorically speaking.
At least Boston fans have someone to be proud of (rings).
Clip fans? They're proud of dunks. |

Will be the lowest point in Laker history if they somehow suffer the worst loss in history against the Clippers |

Sorry to say it, but when I watch a game like this I get even more upset that Kobe basically is going to handcuff them for two more years with his contract. If he truly is about winning, he would know that this team cannot win a chip and it is going to take A LOT of help.
I don't want to hear about the injuries - the guys that are hurt are average players - not players on a consistent winner. You need players and Kobe signing that contract is going to prevent a lot of flexibility. |
Kobe isn't going to handcuff anything. Jim Buss has already done that. Do you trust this guy to make moves at this point? |
If Kobe was serious about winning, you don't sign a 24 mil contract. But I also agree that Jim should not have offered it - Kobe hadn't even taken the floor yet. Stupidity on the owner side, and selfishness and Kobe's side.
The San Antonio boys get it and they keep on competing year after year. Kobe- I love you to death, but did you really need 24? Now he is going to have to go through two years of frustrating mediocrity. If you don't think so, take a look at the young talent around the West. Not going to get easier any time in Kobe's short time left. |

I was at the game until i couldn't deal anymore. Pau got fouled a lot - usually without getting the call. But they clearly targeted him to take him out of his game as he is our last tenuous thread to being an NBA team lol (but not really lol) |

Still better than Sacre. Of course Kaman is going to have bad games, especially playing without a PG and alongside Ryan "I have no business in the NBA" Kelly. |
Is Dirka Chris Kaman? |

Doesn't matter. What moves is Jim going to make to right this ship? Hire another crappy coach? Trade away more players without getting anything back?
Kobe is the least of our worries. It's 2 years. He'll retire, we'll still be stuck with Jim Buss. _________________

This is true. Opponents now focus on Pau and force someone else to make their shots. |

Yet, he is the answer! |
Answer? Don't be ridiculous. He is still far better than Sacre, that is the point. Play your best players, even if they still suck. |
The point is that its not a big deal if they all suck.
When deciding between different shadesof crap, might as well go with the young guy. Maybe he develops or maybe you can inflate his trade value. If you are going to lose anyway, why play a washed up guy? |
Thing is, Kaman IS better than Sacre, and Kelly shouldn't be playing.
You think we're developing ANYONE playing like this? Sacre will always be a bum. The only way Kelly will ever develop is if he hits the weight room. |
You are probably right. But who cares. They are all bad, and they will lose. In this situation, I don't mind taking a chance on the young guys |

Kinda sad that our garbage time team features 3 of our starters. Says something for our injury situation and our player rotations. |

We're probably doing more harm than good at this point. That's why MDA should go. _________________

No new threads talking about the state of the lakers and how Mike D needs to go.
I mean even Kobe looks depressed out there. In the years before he had that fire, that pissed off look. Now...it's just like an animal that needs to be put down.
I think we can effectively embrace tank city on the lakers court _________________ Author of James Harden and the Strip Club
