▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ My Keys to the Game
•Protect the Paint First
•Bench
•Get to the line, hit free-throws and keep them of off the charity stripe. (They get there a lot)
•Rebound and Secure
•Hit 3s
•Keep turnovers to under 10
•Increase the pace, speed it up - don't make this a dog fight like the Grizzlies game. They like the game slow. Our pace is 100.4 (4th) in the league to their 96.1 (20th).

GTG has lost all of preseason and regular season games so far.
Lakers95 is on fire. _________________

Tough game. With how well the Blazers are playing, this should be a loss. If we win this game somehow, we start to legitimize ourselves in the minds of all the haters.

Pau Gasol didn’t practice due to a right ankle sprain (plus a mild issue on his left hand) but is probable to play tomorrow. He’s fine.

Mike D’Antoni said Jordan Hill got treatment today without practicing, but expects Hill will play through the left ankle sprain tomorrow.
Portland is very good team and had 3 days off so they are well rested. Pau and Hill are banged up a little. Not sure we will have enough gas in the tank to win this one. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.

Hope they'll be feeling much better tomorrow. Go Lakers!

Kobe about Dr. Buss.
OP you have Pau's rebounds wrong for the last game, he had 12 not 4.
Thanks. I corrected it. I type Hill's rebounds twice. _________________

It would be absolutely huge for us to get this win and go 10-8 with the next 4 days off. That being said I am lowering my expectations tonight. This game will not be easy for us. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Let's win this one. We've dominated Portland at home in the past. The 4 day layoff afterwards, like the last one the team had, should do wonders.
Portland looks like a different team this year. They seem like they've finally figured it out, and it's clicked for them. One point in our favor is that our energy and defense is generally, much, much better at home, but I'm not sure it's enough to counter just how great a year Aldridge and the rest of the Blazers are having.
On paper it looks like David vs Goliath (again). This Laker squad has taken the big fella down before so I think this is a winnable game especially since we are playing at Staples.
However it will definitely be a tough matchup for us. Portland plays solid defense and can shot the lights out from 3-point range. They are currently making 41.5% from beyond the arc.
D. Lillard and Wes Matthews are in the league's top five in 3s. Aldridge is solid on both ends of the court (ranked #10 on the MVP ladder) and Batum is also playing at a high level. Their record is an impressive 13-3 that indicates that they know how to win on the road.
