It's probably very unlikely we'd end up with the 4th pick, but lets say Wiggins, Parker, and Randle all prove to be the top 3 players in the draft and get picked there. If the Lakers were picking after they went, how much would you trust their ability to evaluate and project talent to make the best choice after those players?

#4-#8 are in the same tier at least.

But considering the workouts that are scheduled for lottery picks, I would trust him.

I dont know if this is too much to ask of you Mike, but if you dont mind could you give a list of who you take at every pick 1 -13 and where you think the Lakers will fall. I understand if you are busy...

Not yet ready to make that kind of list.

Wiggins
Randle
Parker
Exum
Gordon
Imbiid
Smart

I can give you 7.

Thank you very much! Insightful list. I am suprised that you have Embiid over Smart though?

Randle over Parker for the Lakers? Wouldn't you rather the Lakers have a perimeter creator for them to build around?

Randle reminds me of young Moses Malone, updated for today. A very rare type of player with strength of a beast and yet is one who moves his feet. Has equally rare drive to get the ball. I'd take him.

Not that Parker lacks energy, but Randle has a motor that the other guys don't have.

Trying to pick BPA, not a particular type.

I would be stoked to get Exum at 4. I'd be more than happy with Smart.

Hustle is different from motor.

Basically, it's like measuring the amount of activity within a limited amount of time.

Great examples of that are Dennis Rodman and Kenneth Faried.

Of the Laker team, it's Jodie Meeks (with his defensive intensity) and Jordan Hill on the glass.

I take your point, I'm just saying that Parker can be a no.1 option, I don't think Randle necessarily can.

I agree with that. I also think Randle can develop into one. He's already playing like one and getting quadruple teamed in the low block.
