Quote: | Nuggets Suspend Martin Indefinently
26th April, 2006 - 12:14 am
Press Release - The Denver Nuggets have suspended forward Kenyon Martin indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.
"This is an internal matter that we will deal with in-house," said Head Coach George Karl.
The Nuggets host the Los Angeles Clippers for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday, April 27 at 8:30 pm MDT. |
The Nuggets may give him away for peanuts at this point. _________________ At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality |

He was supposedly mad about his lack of Playing Time in the 1st half and refused to play in the 2nd half or something.
Doesn't matter, the Clippers are going to eliminate them within the week anyway. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Guys, remember our own Kwame last year was basically kicked off the Washington Wizards, had an indefinite suspension during the playoffs....
Balki is right. Maybe there's a place for K-Mart on the Knicks? When he was a member of the Nets he was a rising star. Sad.
Dang why couldn't we get the Nugs? Clips could very well sweep that series. _________________ 16 |

I had a dog and BINGO was his name-o! This summer K-Mart, next summer, Shaq. The Knicks will continue to get more expensive as they get further away from a shot at the title. _________________ "People don't think it be like it is, but it do." - Oscar Gamble

What the hell?
This is probably the worst time to suspend your own players, especially one of your key big men.
You can write off the Nuggets now, say hello to Clips in round 2! |

Yeah George should have asked Eddie in Washington how that move worked out for them when they played the Heat. People always said George was an idiot, he just proved it. |

He's a knucklehead. When people were salivating about the possibility of trading for him I disagreed because he's weak in the mind and pulls crap like this every so often.
Just a bad seed.
That being said, George Karl is a moron.

David Aldridge is reporting that K-Mart had some choice words with George Karl at halftime, as Martin was upset over playing time in the first half. |

The way K-Mart's face sulks everytime him and his team lose reminds of just an upset little boy that couldn't get that toy he always wanted and his parents had just yanked him out the toy store by his iddy biddy liddle ear. Wah, Wah, Wah. |

Phil can handle Kenyon Martin. Look what he has done for Kwame's game, and it was evident early on in the season that Phil wasn't giving him consistent minutes, and yet Kwame was able to play well and now we're reaping the benefits.
As for the one poster making fun of Kenyon for caring enough about losing a game and looking sad, then good. We need more players like that. We need players who hate to lose. Bring on Martin.
Chris Mihm, Aaron McKie, and a resigned Devean for Martin. Sign an MLE PG and we're set to go. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

The huge difference here is that no one really knew what Kwame's potential was, plus he has real size where Kenyon is a bit undersized and injured. Kwame had upside, right now everyone pretty much knows what Kenyon is capable of. Kwame was worth a risk and relatively cheap. Kenyon has a huge contract, a recognized bad attitude and is overrated. |
