I'd rather see him in the skills competition or the three point shoot out, oh well. _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

Kobe in the 3-pt competition would be sweet...too bad that it has ZERO chance of happening... _________________ Build around team players, not ISO players. |

kobe cant participate in the 3 point shooting contest.. Every team sent out 1 players name to represent their team and from what I heard we used Smush's name. . _________________ Pain is temporary, at the end of pain is success... |

I dunno about Kobe in the 3P contest. He's very streaky, and of course great in the clutch, but he shoots a low overall percentage. If he got hot though, look out... |

Kobe is the best mid range shooter in the league and a very good 3 point shooter. Tell me, who takes the toughest shots? Who has 3 guys on him? If I'm not mistaken, Peja only shoots open 3s, and when he is contested, he clanks it. Kobe has that unstoppable fadeaway and drills it like it was nothing. An uncontested 3 point shot may have just as good a chance against guys like Korver, Peja and Allen. |

Does everyone remember when Jordan scored 4 points in the 3-point competition? Kobe could definitely beat that. |

Yes that probably has a great chance of happening, how terrible is that?........And if Barkley is anywhere around,it's 100% chance of happening....
Dunk contest would have been most fun and exciting, or the three point shooting contest would have been most interesting......
But this will be good to see,at least something I did not expect.....
Lakers should win this one hands down.....does this count in the standings? |

how many of those 3 pointers come with about 2 seconds on the shot clock.. or fading away over 2 defenders to beat the halftime buzzer.. and he still makes it most of the time.
if you subtract all those difficult attempts and halfcourt heaves, i guarantee you his percentage is in the mid 40's, good for at least top 10.
even with all those difficult attempts, he's at about 35%.
i have no doubt that kobe could win the 3 point contest, dunk contest, AND skills contest all in the same all star weekend, if he put his mind to it.
what other player in history could do that.. seriously? |

HehHeh... Magic's bringing in a ringer this year...!
Let's just hope Magic's worked on his jumpshot this time, last year he was clanking them off the rim and he looked sort of out of shape, huffing and puffing all over the place... (Sorry, Magic.) _________________ They're/You're/It's = They are/You are/It is; Their/Your/Its = Possessive of They/You/It; There = the adverb (like over there).

Kobe is probably a much better shooter than his % shows because he always shoots difficult shots. I wouldnt mind seeing how many 3's he can drill without a hand in his face. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

For a second I thought he was competing in the 3-point shootout! He would win hands down. Actually it would've been cool if he participated in all the events and won all three. You know he could do it. |

Man, I would have LOVED to see him go up against Lebron in the Skills Challenge. Oh well. I'll still enjoy the shoot-out, but oh what coulda been... |

By the way, imagine the awesome no-look passes Magic is going to throw at Kobe. Kobe is just going to DESTROY everyone else. It's almost unfair. I mean, last year we had Magic, Lisa and FISHER. This year we have Magic, Lisa and KOBE? OOOhweeee!
Kobe's going to have a BLAST playing with Magic, because while Magic certainly can't play NBA ball anymore, he still has that sweet passing ability and can definitely play this type of "game". |

you got that right it was down right embarrassing to see that last year. I guess Magic wanted to win this year. |

LOL and his critics would blame him for hogging the spotlight. Actually, I was thinking the same thing.. he can win each one of those contests.
But, isn't it based upon invitation from the NBA? although I'm sure if Kobe said he wanted to participate, NBA wouldn't stop him. |
