The game was lost on 4 chances to get a defensive stop and they couldn't even be bothered to box out. Don't even get me started on all of those wide open 3's. _________________ Rest In Paradise Kobe & GiGi |

Two for ones are overrated. Mostly just an excuse for players to take bad shots. |
Two for one is one of the best things a team can do, and really successful teams do it well. And it doesn't mean that at 30 seconds left take a half court shot. It means get into your set offense a little earlier and take your shot, but around 30 seconds. It give you options incase you miss and they don't. allows you to be flexible with fouling and extending the game. And also, gives you the all important control of the ball with the game on the line scenario. How can you not want 2 for 1? not doing 2 for 1 is just bad clock management. |

if you can get a good look and it just happens to give you a decent two for one situation, then that's perfect. but too often players take it as license to just jack up terrible shots that have very little chance of going in, thereby either giving the other team a transition opportunity or a chance to use up a lot of the 24 second clock to get themselves a good look. Then you get the ball back with often times 6 or less seconds on the clock to try to generate another look, which will most likely be a tough shot with very little chance of going in either. |

YEs- 2 for 1 is great IF and only if you can get a quality look for your first shot. |

Yes- those were defensive rebounds that the Lakers failed to secure.
As usual though, game was won/lost by a combination of offensive and defensive execution. Good execution on one end feeds it on the other.
There is no success without both. |

It was a charge, but that's not going to be called very often in that situation.
Dyess' putback was clean. |
Gotta love this...this is how complacent fans have become. We EXPECT the rulebook to not be followed. Stern wins.
I know i know, they are gonna let the players decide right, they never call fouls on those last second platys right?
*cough* except when we play boston and they get rewarded free throws on a halfcourt heave with a second left *cough*
The double standard in this league when it comes to my favorite team SICKENS me. |

even though gregg poppovich is calling the lakers the best team in the west. in my opinion he is saying that to add pressure to the lakers. it keeps the lakers at bay to perform well or get beaten up by the media.
however, the regular season is nothing, its all about the playoffs.
GO LAKERS! |
