Good job Barnes !!

Barnes is not depended on his jumper. He brings the hustle on every possession. He doesn't let his jumper being on or off take him off his game. Many players get less effective if their J is off.

Exactly.

From Phil in this week:

"He likes to cut. He’s a slasher. He’s an outside shooter, but he also likes to make cuts," Phil Jackson said Monday. "This offense is really generated towards that. Guys who like to cut, make hard cuts to the basket. So that’s really important that he continues to do that.”

2 things I was disappointed:

1. Lakers still cannot control speedy guard (today is Evans).
2. The bench is still not that "good", not even saying "great".

Go ahead, Lakers.

In fairness to the Lakers though, Nobody can contain Evans. He is just that gifted. No team in the league has been able to stop his penetration. If the Lakers were serious about him they would do it the only way you can, and that is with a designed team defensive effort.
If the Kings end up in the playoffs against the Kings you would see more of a concerted effort to stop him, but for now the Kings just don't have that many things to worry about to lay down that kind of effort, especially on the back end of a back to back.

Seriously, if they make the playoffs & play us, we will take away something from Tyreke. He's either going to have to shoot outside or make plays.

I look forward to how Barnes helps us in the playoffs, when those outside shots stop falling. We're winning with some outstanding outside shooting early, but when the law of averages catches up with the Lakers he's the kind of player we need; cutting to the basket, drawing defenders or scoring, making life miserable for opposing defenses.

Gasol played 44 minutes tonight. That is alot of minutes on a back to back. I just hope he doesn't burn out. We need Bynum back ASAP.

Wow you too! Sucks putting up with the Rose Center crowd, unless the Lakers win of course.

Glad this first match is in LA.

WOW.

Just wow. I (bleep) love him for this though. He's the backbone of what we do out there. Man, I want Bynum back quick.

It would be nice if Ratliff came to work... Is he ok? Ratliff was once one of the toughest SOB's in the league especially on defense.

Just kidding! I know Odom is a big part of our early 5-0 winning. The stats doesn't say much, but he has monsters game as usual.

Yes indeed, because truth is the Lakers would have suffered there first loss had the contest been played in Portland...

That is the weirdest (bleep) in the world....

Gotta keep the lady happy.

And the Lakers are 5-0 even missing their starting Center with Lamar shooting video game type percentages.

Nice!

I thought it was just Queen fans that were bandwagon. Did you see their bench stop frontrunning at the end of 4th quarter?

Geezus Christ front runners are so annoying. If you're winning, act like you've been there before, never celebrate early and then LOSE!

Bynum's return of course is good and necessary. But by then the performance of the starting line-up (with Bynum) would not perform like the first 5 games while the chemistry and result are so good now. Anyway, that would take time to merge him into the puzzle.
