Don't know if it was discussed in the game thread, but did anybody catch Dwight Howard's "Fisheresque" screen on Fish. Dude leaned into it with extra "Umph!". Then Fish gave the hard foul right back at him the very next sequence and Dwight looked at him and had some words for Fish.
Think league office will peep that sequence? _________________

Dwight Howard actually plays a little "dirty" (remember that elbow he applied in, I think, the Philly series?) I think he led the NBA in technicals this year.
John Ireland said that those were Orlando Magic employees and that the team flew them out here to attend the game.
Yeah they came off their tour bus with those noise makers and invaded Nokia plaza on their way to the Holiday Inn. I had to sit next to an Orlando fan and she was subdued by the 3rd qtr. Her husband was kept cheering until she gave him the evil eye. He ended up being as subdued as she was.
i actually saw that... that was a mean pick howard game at the other end. but i like how derek responded. he just put howard in his place. _________________ The road back to the top...
Also, like I said, if the series goes 6 or 7 games, you guys are going to really hate Dwight. Esp. when you see all the things he does, which makes him an intimidating DPOY-level player.

Didn't see any of those intimidating DPOY qualities last night.

Those Orlandonians invaded LA Live just as Steve Mason and John Ireland were doing their show and yelled "Let's go Magic" upon their arrival. Mason described them as senior citizens and retirees.
Before Game 1, some of the media folks were out and about doing their prep work. Saw some guy in a dark blue blazer jaywalk across the street and come up behind me, it was none other than Jim Gray, didn't realize he was still active but he says that he's doing some things for radio now. Jim Hill was in line at the media entrance and he thought he recognized me as someone else (I get that alot). Kevin Love was doing a feature for NBA Tv and he seemed to be able to get around without getting mobbed by people seeking autographs.
Once inside, I grabbed some food and turned around only to see Coach Jim Harrick standing next to a wall with a dazed and confused look. Always thought he would be a lot taller and didn't bother him. When I got to the section, AC Green came by and greeted some folks, for some reason he apparently recognized me from a remote a week ago and was very kind. The guy is pure class. I think he probably recognized me as someone else though.
Awesome, awesome game. We made a statement like I wanted to. Kobe was magic, MVP!
We have to keep focused, this was just a win, it´s only 1-0. I hope that they don´t get too confindent. Let´s see.
Bynum had a great start. but he have to play more and score more. But he was very good on rebounding and defending Howard(in the 1st half, D12 only get a FG).
