Obviously Houston will be emotionally charged up but I still doubt it will be as hostile as Utah or Portland. The Rockets are not an offensive juggernaut, so the Lakers are going to have to do things either of these two ways. You weather the storm that the Rockets come out with and hang around and go in for the kill in the fourth quarter or you immediately take the crowd out of the game. Kobe is going into Mamba mode on the road in Game 3, you can feel it coming. Trevor has got to hit those open shots!! Fisher more than likely won't be around so Brown and Farmar have all game long to show us what they are made of. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you! |

Just wondering. And also, his average numbers when playing AT Houston. Anyone know a website that would provide these? _________________ "I accepted their challenge. If we don't have so many random Defensive lapses we will make quick work of Houston, because this team looks awful offensively in the half court, until we bail them out. A large portion of the their scores come late in the shot clock. A part of this is them making tough shots too, they can't keep up that type of offensive production. Artest is 7-13 threes so far, I'd like to see how long that will continue. About 4 or 5 of them in the first two games have came with 1 or 2 seconds on the shot clock. They've had a lot of luck with that type of stuff so far.
If Fisher is suspended, Shannon and Farmar have done a better job keeping Brooks and Lowry in front of them, so that could somewhat slow down penetration and fouls/layups/dunks. Rebounding can be better too.
I'm probably in the minority of those who are feeling very confident going into Houston. |

Career averages vs. Houston
27 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 4.5 APG, 1.5 SPG.
44% FG, 36% 3PT, 81% FT
Here are all the regular season games he's played against Houston - link
You can change the criteria for misc. things (e.g. @ Houston). Not sure how to get the results as averages, though. |

How the hell is he letting Scola shut him down?
He's missing so many layups and fts this series too _________________ "My thirst for domination is fed only by the game. I refuse to get distracted by outside forces." - Kobe Bryant |

Like your screen name.. am myself a big fan of O'Henry's writing style.
As for dacos, no, i don't think its gonna happen, besides, i'd rather have AB show up and show some effort (maybe fish's move helped light a fire under AB's belly) |

Houston will definitely be looking for revenge and the Lakers have to know that and go for the throat. If you take both in Houston you've taken the heart out of their team when they come back to Staples. Gasol did great but he can still improve going up against Yao. Bynum needs to flat out show the (bleep) up for once. Kobe needs to keep doing what he did tonight and even take it further because this team's gonna need it.
Despite how off Sasha's shot has been I really liked to see his defensive intensity as well as Shannon's/Farmar's. Keep up that kind of play and you will beat Houston. _________________ "We are the goodest." - Shaq ESPN interview |

The defense the Lakers played in the fourth quarter of Game 2 is how they need to play ALL game long on Friday. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you! |

We're winning the next 3 games. No way the Lakers let up. They know what it takes and they're gonna play hard full 48. No more letting teams back in the game crap.
Lakers 115
Rockets 103 |

It's possible that veteran playoff-hardened Fisher sort of GregOstertagged the young Rockets with that move. We will see if the Rockets are a good "angry" team or if they self-destruct after this incident. The Lakers seem to play better when they are up against the wall and have a sense of urgency... they are more focused and actually get off their wallets to play to their potential.
Pau is a better "angry" player and you know what Kobe can do when he's angry.
