Lakers missed a lot of high percentage shots, took a few too many low percentage ones, but got screwed a bunch of times on a lot of shots. It wasn't a great officiating job, but it wasn't the worst. Still, you'd expect the refs to at least make the same calls on both ends. |

Granted, a back to back in altitude while getting in at 6:00 am sucks....some of those shots were short....that's legs....Not worried, we'll destroy this team in a playoff series....those broadcasters were talking like they were getting (bleep).....unbelievable.... |

Sure there was creativity by the coaching staff. Philsy decided to cross his legs the other way while he sat on the bench and did nothing. |

well, they did lose a couple days ago, or whenever that was--to the Clippers(?!) and the Rockets respectively, so, at least they've had some recent losses too. |
Yeah, I guess I'm over it for now. Still sucks to drop one though and lose some of the lead, but I guess I already let out most of my frustration in this thread. I'm glad we have the tie-breaker over Boston and Cleveland, so it's more like we're still 3 games and 2 games up on each--that can't be understated. I'm worried about Boston most of all though. Not only do I think they'll come out of the east, but I feel they have another major streak in them that we'll have to endure. Homecourt advantage is going to dramatically shift the odds in the end... |

The Birdman might test positive for PCP.
He was charging around like a wild man, but he got rewarded for it.
The refs could have jolted him with a taser and it wouldn't have phased him a bit. I'm just glad someone didn't get a career ending injury from him tonight. |

Forget that... whatever he was taking, give it to the Lakers! And if it works, keep Sasha and Farmar on it the rest of the season. |

I don't get these traveling schdules sometime. It's Denver, not Tokyo. The Lakers should sleep in their own bed after the PHX game, shoot around in LA this morning, then leave for Denver after a leisure lunch and they can still get to Denver in plenty of time and be well rested. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

When people here post other posts from other teams message boards, I would think they do it for the Lakers aswell. This is one post I can imagine being posted on another teams forum to mock Laker fans. _________________ "This is a comptitive city. Ely Roe was reported to be JR Smith's F-buddy. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. That drug isn't PCP. It's the Purple and Gold drug, which many otherwise scrubs take and have career nights against us. |

The Lakers were really tired and were clearly affected by that. Most of their shorts were way short. It was a tough game for the Lakers. Don't blame it on the refs. |

I think they don't travel on the day of games because of unexpected weather. For example, imagine after that leisure lunch they board the plane and find that the plane is unable to land in Denver because of snow. So teams don't chance it. Not to mention it's not a good idea to fly in a few hours before a game from a performance standpoint.
But tonight the team played so poorly that it wouldn't have mattered, I suppose. |

It's only one game. This doesn't erase what they've accomplished @ Boston, @ Cleveland, and everything since The Big Potential went down. |
No, but it showed a big team weakness. No interior defense at all, and no decent offensive post play. So those weaknesses didn't manifest themselves in one game against the Celtics and Cavs, we would be foolish to think that they would never appear in a 7-game series. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I have nothing to add, except the title of the thread makes me chuckle. I just picture Scherm at home, screaming at the TV. At first, it's like, "jesus, don't let Chris Andersen do that to you guys." Then it's, "Are you kidding me? The Birdman is doing this?" Finally, at the end of the night, "Would somone drug test him please!"
I picture it because that's pretty much how my night went.
I did watch him play in minor league ball years ago, so I am happy he was able to bounce back into the league. |

Nah. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's got a few bottle of Adderall in his locker. Dude is amped up on something. Again. Didn't learn his lesson with that first suspension.
Of course he should have been drug tested at that dunk contest. The guy was either completely stoned or paying homage to Bill Walton and drop ten hits of acid before hand. |
