If Nash's face is not playing, where is Kobe supposed to put his nuts when he's dunking? |

Well Grant Hill's face should be there, so Ariza will have a place to put his. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

This is the first game of three games in four days against two playoff contenders. We don't fear the Suns, they fear us. For O'Neal, it is a return to his former 'standing ground.' Nash may miss the game with an injury. Amari is gone for the season. The Celtics lost to the lowly Clippers. LOL. The game is a statement to the Nuggets. Lakers by single digit. _________________ 15 NBA Titles!

FYI, this will be only Shaq's 3rd game against the Lakers in Staples center. The last time he played against the Lakers at Staples was the game when he and Bynum dunked on each other and then traded forearm shots. He's had one excuse or another for every other trip here. I hope he doesn't skip tonight too (they do have a back to back game tomorrow night), cause I've been waiting to boo him for years. _________________ "People don't think it be like it is, but it do." - Oscar Gamble

PLEASE do NOT double cover shaq tonight. let him go 1 on 1 and try to score 25-30 pts(max, he cant score more than that now). dont double/triple him and have him setup their shooters
and if kobe sags off jrich, he'll score 30 tonight _________________ Dominating every day. |

If that's the strategy you want then start mbenga at c and let him lean on him for his 6 fouls. I don't see Pau wearing him out. |

Too bad Odom hasn't made it a habit of exploiting shorter players, because I can't imagine who they'll put on him (and it will be interesting to see how he responds after his first bad game in a while against the Thunder). And yeah, I second the notion that Richardson is going to be a huge problem like he was in Charlotte if Kobe doesn't bother guarding him. |

in chicago phil usually would play shaq straight up. while hed get his 30-35 pts, the rest of the team wouldnt be involved.. _________________ Dominating every day. |

suns play super fast paced now, i want the lakers to slow it down. watch those corner 3's, force them to play shaq-ball. even if he gets 40 points, which i really doubt, it'll force the suns to slow down.
letting shaq do what he wants = slower game = better for lakers.
every game i wish the lakers would defend the 3 point line, with the suns playing like last season, its even more important now.
odom and gasol has to exploit their matchups, when they do that, lakers get easy points.

no amare, so high chances that we win. lakeshow should play some good D this game and we'll have them blown out by the end of the 3rd. Gonna be fun to see shaq bak at staples.

As long as HOU holds on to win I'm fine with it...up 14 under 5 in the 4th!

My NBA 2k9 Recap: 32 minute game; Difficulty: Superstar
Lakers 96
Suns 91
Box Score:
27 min Odom 31pts, 4rebs, 2ast, 3stl, 1blk, 1 TO (FG: 14-17, FT 3-3)
27 min Gasol 30pts, 8rebs, 4ast, 3blk, 2 TO (FG: 15-19, FT 0-1)
25 min Bryant 22pts 3rebs, 6ast, 2blk, 3 TO (FG: 8-14, FT 5-8, 3PT 1-1)
Every one else had 2 or 3 points; amazingly, Sasha led the team with a +12 while only playing 8 minutes and scoring 2 points and dropping 2 dimes, yet Kobe had a -7, haha very strange. :-p _________________ "I have self-doubt.
