What, did you expect him to bad-mouth them when they were playing the second game of a back-to-back, kicking a team that's 7-0, and 1st in all meaningful categories at home? |

It sounds like the last time we lost a game.
We stunk tonight and got beat. That's all there is to it. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Another fun fact:
Kobe has never scored 60 points in a game in which the sun did not rise that day. Ever.
Really. |

Yeh! Kwame had his one good game for the year. Now he can sit back and relax and throw cakes around. Time to move on. _________________ The great Laker Center Tradition continues.....Mikan, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Gasol, AD....Gasol. |

Refs were a bit more kind to them, but it wasn't as blatant as games 1 and 2 of NBA finals last year or the 2004 NBA finals. |

Against physical, smart defensive minded teams, there is no room for error with the Triangle. The crispness of the offense has to be right on. And at this point this team is not quite crisp and quick enough within the offense to counter.
On a positive note, it seems logical to think that by the time the regular season ends, this team will have had a year and half together as a unit to hopefully perfect their chemistry. We'll see. |
Yeah, Cleveland is there too. We have major issues with the three top eastern teams. San Antonio was (possibly is) similar defensively, but their day may have past. I guess Houston can be included too--but they're not the well oiled machine these other teams are (and have their own unique issues). When I wonder whether the Lakers have what it takes to go all the way I can't help but feel something is still missing. |

gotta admit that i also do this. it seems like whenever there's a national telecast on abc or espn the lakers always play poorly. plus, things just seem a lot calmer and more normal with joel and stu. |

this is certainly true!
i will only watch games on FSN West or KCAL9 because they are the Lakers channel. Even though ESPN produces a more vivid color channel, I hate the analysis of ESPN or TNT. But if I have no other choice I will watch or listen to the Lakers in some fashion, regardless where I am. GO LAKERS! |

No, thats not true, he did not do this all game at all. A very critical of Kobe's game tonight, not giving him any slack |
Are you effing kidding me? Kobe was downright dominant on defense tonight...all game long. |
On who? For 3 quarters on who? Nemo? |
Uhhh......Rip hamilton. Forget that he only has 10 points. How about only 8 shots. Kobe hasn't even let him catch the ball. COmpleetly took him out of the game. The rest of the etam didn't do their job on defense. |
And how did that help the team? |
Yea...taking out one of the other teams best scorers without ever requiring any help. That doesn't help the team at all....... |
Rip is now 14-49 (28.5%) since the Iverson trade. At this point he cant hit the basket even if you played matador defense. This game actually managed to marginally increase his shooting percentage.

You should see the rest of Hamilton's games lately...Detroit is on a 3 game winning streak even with his 12th man worthy play.

Let's just hope we don't go on a losing streak. Then it goes from the horrible officiating to Stern conspiracies. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

also knowing that Kwame outplayed both Bynum and Gasol |
Yeah, that sucks but I don't regret for a second dropping the guy. He must love sticking it to us, but if the Pistons succeed with Kwame at center it will more likely be because the team that surrounds him is better than the one that surrounded him in LA. Even though he'll sleep well tonight he still sucks and I'm sure he'd let us down in the end (though I'm not entirely confident about how every one of our existing players would do in the end either).

People aren't understanding. It wasn't the fact that he didn't shoot well. It was that he barely even touched the ball. Kobe blanketed him so thoroughly that he was practically taken out of their offense. But then of course having Fisher and Farmar on defense is like having nobody guarding the point guard position. |

Oh that I understand. Thank god Rip stopped at 10 FG though, he's killing me in fantasy leagues. |
