Now I just kinda feel sorry for Oden. So injury prone... plus, did anyone notice how ugly he is? I mean... someone call geico. |
I don't get that beard at all. I mean, he's pretty scary looking as it is, but that beard just magnifies it tenfold. |
Too funny |

Ariza looked very good on both ends. I think we played at 70% capacity on offense...
wait till we get some more cohesion in half court and more importantly on full court... get ready to see a dunk fest with Ariza, Kobe, Pau and Lamar finishing these breaks.
Defense had some great moments. we need to limit the shooting the passing lane gambles a little bit. Great rotations and help defense for most part.
Its just 1 game but Phil and coaching staff has really stepped up, you could see that clearly. |

I don't know if I have ever seen such a roving defense by the Lakers in all my years. This defense was all over Portland and it was really making Portland look silly out on that court tonight. And with the rotation of our guys, we can play that kind of defense every single night.
At one point in time I actually felt a little sorry for Portland. It was like watching a pickpocket take an old lady for all she is worth.
And the best thing is that I cannot point to ANY one Laker and say that thier defense is better...its ALL the Lakers playing Better defense. |

It's so simple, even a Blazer can do it! |

lakers actually coasted and looked pretty organic on offense, energetic on defense. they would build a lead, get lax and sort of lose concentration (and the length of their lead.) then they would turn it on a bit again. when lakes dropped from 23 up to ony 8 up it felt like portland could turn it up. but portland has no go-to guy who can carry them by focused energy. so lakers would focus and energize a bit and turn it on. too many careless half-assed turnovers for the lakers - - a continuation of the pre-season.

To the Lakers defense...it is hard to stay concentrated when you are cruising by 23 points. Portland really never offered much resistance all game long. I don't want to see 23 point leads evaporate either but this team was never in danger of losing the game. |

Alert the media! Vlad is leading the NBA in steals! And Kobe is tied for first in rebounding...with Joel Pryzbilla. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow |
