Sheeshs, we lost a lead, big deal. I didn't like it at all but we won the game, they never lead. Would have been worst if we lost.. I can sleep in peace, still wishing i could slap these guys for all those frigging 3s!!! _________________ New Beginings |

The Lakers showed the defensive kryptonite to Chris Paul with the swarming 1st quarter D
The Hornets honestly don't scare me as a playoff opponent, I think they could go down in the first round. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

If we won by this much and we never had that big lead, everyone would be happy.
And that is how I view this, we never had a lead, we just won by 3. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |

Exactly this is the best team in the WC. I'll take the win but we all know this team is a work in progress. But we knew that before the season started, just because we got Gasol doesn't change that.
We need to pick up some vets in the offseason IMHO. Farmar is showing that he can't be trusted in the clutch and it'd be nice to have some insurance for Fisher if he ever gets hurt. |

So is Kobe back in everyone's good graces? Just last game, he was an undisciplined star that lacked leadership. Big ups for a 29, 10, and 8 effort...nice D as well. |

The reason we were able to stomp on them last time with Bynum was because Chandler was contained the entire game by Bynum. You give the Lakers a healthy Bynum and we crush the bees everytime. |
That pretty much sums it up. We were crushing them WITHOUT Bynum tonight but let up. I'll take the win all day long. Sure beats losing to the Grizs or Bobcats. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

Yea, who cares if we were up 30? This is the NBA. We could have collapsed, but instead we gutted up and won after the Hornets got it back to 4 in one quarter.
That's clutch, and it's playoff atmosphere, and we came out with the W.
I'm proud of the guys, even though our offense looked like crap in the 2nd half, and our defense was downright pathetic with Lamar on the bench.
As crazy as it sounds, we might need to play LO 48 minutes per, or close to it, at least until Drew gets back. _________________ !
Per 100 possessions, we're winning 118-102 with LO on the floor, and losing 109-111 without him. (updated: 4/1/09; source: 82games.com) |

I think Pargo killed the gamblers with that last 3
Much like Chris Douglas-IChokeFreeThrows-Roberts killed my huge bet on Memphis in the NCAA Title game right at the end.
CDR needed CPR to quote Steve Hartman |
I got the over 208
Anyway, real playoff intensity in this game, I loved it. And now, time to go to bed, 7.17 a.m here in Spain |

I don't know. Maybe Phil forgets to remind the guys that when the other team is out of fouls to take it to the hoop....instead we got silly turnovers, ugly bail out shots and 3 pointers galore. |

Still happy with the win, but still. Those lazy passes, continuing to jack up 3s, etc was frustrating. |

Cardom wrote: | Man, not sure Kobe has locked up the MVP at all after this game. Lakers need to take #1 seed for that to be the case. |
Kobe with 29 points on 9 for 17 shooting, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, monster dunk, sealed the deal.
Chris Paul with 15 points on 4 for 13 shooting, 6 rebounds, 17 assists, 4 steals, 3 turnovers.
In my mind Kobe was leading coming in and certainly got the better of it tonight. But we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get it again, though he certainly deserves it (and has in the past). In the end, just keep winning and Kobe will get the REAL prize. |

LOL was just about to say that it was hard to read this thread and watch the game, needless to say I was speed reading/scamming,LOL wow 70 pages , that has to be a record for game threads. Wasn't this bigger than the JO thread during the summer,LOL. Either way good game after almost collapsing. Playoff game threads are probably gonna be as long if not longer, thank goodness for the new server _________________ 11/9/12 the day the brown was flushed down!!!!!!
