We have a history of trouble in the Rose Garden. That said, I think the Lakers treat this team serious tonight because of that.

My prediction: Kobe takes a shot in the final seconds. If it goes in, we win. If it doesn't, we lose. |

I have a feeling we're gonna lose this one. I told my dad that this morning and he felt the same way, it was funny. I know being anything other than blindly optimistic is a sin, but Portland played ball with us last time and I think they're gonna be hungry for some revenge on their home court, and there's always that one point where the winning streak snaps. To their credit, the Lakers are playing some confident ball and show no signs of laziness.
With that said, if the Lakers do win, they will have really demonstrated their focus and ability to win close ones (as we've only really done against PHX lately), and that means great things for the Lakers. So I really hope we do win, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost. It will be a great game either way I think. =)

Should be close throughout, but LA goes on a late run and wins 110-97 _________________

I have a bad feeling about this game. There's something in the water in Portland that just takes it right out of the Lakers.
Hope they can pull out the win. |

Rose Garden is Lakers kryptonite, but it seems like the Lakers have overcome many hurdles this year and I don't see why they cant overcome this one too, especially after the wakeup call at home.
Quote: | Los Angeles (41-17) hasn't had an 11-game streak since March 13-April 2, 2004, but it also hasn't beaten the Blazers on the road since Feb. 23, 2005. In fact, the Lakers have usually struggled in Portland, losing 25 of 33 there since January 1992. |

We could be undefeated this year and I would still have a bad feeling about this game lol. The Rose Garden is just the Laker's kryptonite. |

4 years since the Lakers have had a W in the Rose Garden, and the fans up here are frikkin' nuts. I expect a scrappy game, but if the Lakers are to have any chance they've got to get an early lead and keep the fans in check. |

Because last night's game was on TNT their plane didn't get into Portland until 2am (yes I tracked it - geek that I am).
This will be a tough W to pull out. If they do it, AWESOME, if they don't, no biggie. We'll need some serious mamba juice. |

It's been 4 years sense we have won at Rose Garden? Wow thats kinda alot considering Portland hasn't be good at all and this season is like the best they've been playing over the last four years. |

That 4 Game losing streak in Portland ends tonight. Our boys seemed to be more focused on the road this season and play with more sense of urgency. Seeing how the Blazers jumped on us at the start of the last game, i don't see the lakers (bleep) around and taking them lightly again, especially on their home floor. We'll win this one by 10-12 points. |

Is Vlad Rad going to be playing? Luke played a lot of minute last night and I think he's going to make tons of mistakes tonight if he plays as much. _________________ Eighth grade key phrases are crucial tools for this type of subterfuge: "team player", "make teammates better", "ballhog", "selfish", "court vision": all dripping with sanctimony and defamation. |

Hopefully, the last game against the Blazers got the Lakers attention. We have a hard time matching up with their size and athleticism especially with Drew and Ariza out. Our best lineup recently has been Farmar/Sasha/Kobe/LO/Pau. I think we're going to have to see a lot of that lineup again tonight in order to pull out a victory. Luke's minutes really need to be kept to a minimum. Also, Phil needs to give Fish a quick hook if he's still in a shooting slump and forcing bad shots. |
