I thought you said sports, I would have to go with Bocce Ball.
As for food, it depends on what area you are in. Around my area there are a few small family owned places that are pretty good. It all starts with a fine marinara, and to be honest, most places aren't worth a damn.
Olive's Garden and all these places have a little too many cream sauce dishes for my liking.
Some places around me I would recommend are Avolio's, Palermo's, and that's about it that I know of.
Claro's is a great little market to go to as well. |

And I actually like the cream sauces more than the marinara sauce. And thanks for the spots! _________________

My good friend Steve Bosell likes Olive Garden. Well, he doesn't go there anymore. _________________

Other good Italian spots...
Firenze
Hadrian's villa
Rome was OK
Venice is overrated, but still worth the trip

Olive Garden uses Macaroni, Italian sauces, and other Italian items. whats so fake about it? doesn't the other great Italian spots use Macaroni's? Italian bread? like Olive Garden does? |

I think you said somewhere that you only eat 500 calories a day. Although that is likely a great understimate, given your food choices, I see why you eat so little.
Guys, try out pizzicoto... its in brentwood. They have the best authentic northern italian pizza I know of in So Cal. Great rissotto too. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

If you're ever in LAX/Westchester area, you should go try Alejo's. Generous portions and their bread is off the hook. They do use a lot of garlic though. _________________ "It's just fo' decoration! That's it and that's all, man; we do it fo' decorations." -Lil Sis

I went there last weekend. Linguini Pescatore is awesome, as is the chicken parm. The meatballs weren't that great as I used to remember last time, they seemed overcooked. |

This place in Hollywood off of Hollywood Blvd, east of the Kodak Theatre. When I remember the name I'll post it here. The Veal is excellent and the ambiance & dark, old fashioned design is awesome. They have 3 stories, and the underground floor turns into a piano lounge at night.
For something not so fancy but still authentic, The Deli News near CSULB on Bellflower Blvd. has the best lasagna I've ever tasted domestically. Damned fine Pizza and the clientele is young and beachy. _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/

If you are in NYC, try Carmine's in the Theater District. |
